Avery's POV
As I finished speaking, Alpha Red's expression softened, and he slowly reached out to me. He pulled me into his arms, holding me close as I trembled with emotion.
"Nothing will happen to our child," he whispered, his voice full of conviction. "We'll save her, and we'll destroy the vampire kingdom. Together."
I cried, my body shaking with sobs as I buried my face in his chest. "I did it to protect her," I whispered, my voice muffled. "I'd understand if you couldn't forgive me, but please, don't hate me for it."
Alpha Red kissed my forehead, his lips warm and gentle. "I'll do everything in my power to protect you and our child," he promised. "But you have to promise me one thing: never make a decision like this without me again. We're in this together, always."
I nodded, my tears slowing as I looked up at him. "I promise," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
