Dante's POV
The waiting game was a lot harder than I thought it would be. It's been two weeks since my conversation with Athena, and even though I tried to get my mind off it, waiting was still as depressing as ever.
Living with a human meant having your days progress the way humans did, and that unfortunately meant time slowing down to you.
That was the hardest part about being with Christopher, and yet the best part.
Time slowed down for me, and it meant I enjoyed minutes, seconds, something I would never have even thought to do as a vampire.
It was wonderful. The only con was that now I was very aware of every second of the day because I spent it worrying subconsciously about Christopher's humanity.
"Hey babe, it's time," Christopher came out of the walk-in closet dressed a lot differently than I'd ever seen him.
He was putting on a wig and a mustache, and he had an American dad-style outfit.
