Sophia quietly removed Marcus’s arm which was tightly wrapped around her as she got up to freshen up.
She finished getting refreshed she noticed that Marcus was still very much asleep. She looked around the study,taking in the peaceful atmosphere, and smiled softly at the sight of Marcus's calm expression. She gently got out of the room trying not to disturb him.
Walking into the living room,she sat down reflecting on how far she had come. She let out a deep breath as she reflect on the journey she had been on.
She thought about the revelation about her mother, the emotions that had surfaced when she was rescued from Ryder and the growth she had experienced the past months. With a sense of pride and accomplishment, Sophia realized that she had come a long way in understanding herself,she would be stronger and wiser than she was before.
Still in her thoughts a domestic staff member walked by, Sophia called out to her, "Excuse me, could I please have a glass of water?"
