Chapter 5

" Our paths should never cross," Gwen said as she entered the car without any cup of tea. 

She looks tense and nervous. She was sweating and her skin turned pale out of fear. 

" What's wrong, Gwen? " The concerned Kathryn asked but didn't get an answer immediately. 

" Say something, " Kathy persuades her. 

Gwen paused for a while before she told Kathryn whom she had just run into. 

" Gosh!!!  Does he want to use your kidney in exchange for mere clothes? " Kathryn was shocked. 

" Yes, we need to leave here right now. He is a ritualist " Gwen replied with teary eyes. 

" He is such a dirty asshole " Kathy tried to comfort Gwen. They zoomed off immediately. 

According to their plans, Kathryn will sleep over at Gwen's to help her dress well for the interview, Kathryn is also leaving for the US.

They arrived after a few minute's drive. Gwen walked inside like an ant and Kathryn followed her. 

" Can both of you stop staying late at night? "Gwen's mum threw this question and it startled them because they didn't expect that she would be waiting in the sitting room. 

" Ooh my goodness, Mum you startled me," Gwen said with her heart racing a Marathon. 

" Good evening ma'am " Kathryn greeted. She bent her head down to avoid the woman's piercing gaze. 

" Mum, I need to sleep. I have an interview to attend tomorrow " Gwen said and ran off not wanting to hear anything from her mum. 

Kathryn…. 

How could she leave me behind? Kathryn thought to herself. 

" I need some rest as well. I have a long flight tomorrow " Kathryn spoke out as she took off like an antelope. 

She knew that Gwen's mum was up to no good. She wants to whip them again. 

Mrs. Bautista turned off all the lights and went to her room.

" Gwenevere!!! Gwen!!! It's morning " Kathryn woke Gwen who was sleeping like a log of wood.

" It's daybreak already? " Gwen rolled on the bed, fell off to the floor and screamed. 

" Auch!!!!! " 

" You have a bad sleeping habit, go and freshen up. I will get your dress ready " Kathryn pushed Gwen into the bathroom and shut the door.

" What time did you set for the interview? Ricardo asked Barry who just entered his office. 

"It's by 11 am, sir, " Barry replied. 

" Why did you fix it by 11 am? Under whose permission? '' Ricardo became furious. 

Ricardo wanted the model to come earlier so that they could carry on with the contact immediately. 

Barry ……

OMG. There he goes again, has he forgotten what he told me so soon? Barry couldn't help but question himself. 

" Sir, we are just left with an hour. She should be here in no time " Barry spoke. 

" Contact Bianca, in case the model who is coming for the interview doesn't merit it " After a long thought Ricardo said. 

" But sir, Bianca barely has those…." Barry met the cold eyes of his boss and decided not to complete his statement and he left Ricardo's office. 

Ricardo started feeling hot for no reason, he increased the air conditioner and removed his suit.

Gwen looked at herself in the mirror and she was satisfied with what she saw. 

The tattoo on her shoulder could be seen by everyone because she was wearing a sleeveless V-neck and her boobs were pumped out.

Her gown has an opening, which reveals her slender long legs and her curves. Her long hair was hooked in a ponytail, revealing her fair skin and collarbone. 

" That's enough, we had to get going. You have less than thirty minutes " Kathryn said. She just recovered from the shock of Gwen's appearance. 

" Yes, let's go. All eyes will be on me today " Gwen praised herself. She put on her heels and the cat walked to the door. 

Kathryn followed Gwen like her personal Assistant. They both walked outside and entered the car. 

Kathryn drove Gwen straight to the company. Gwen was busy taking pictures and making videos.

" We are here," Kathryn said. She gazed at Gwen who was putting on a long face because they had been parted for years. 

" Just go in there and get the job, I will be back in no time. I will ask for a transfer back to Switzerland " Kathryn assured Gwen. 

" I will miss you a lot " Gwen became sober. 

" Gwenevere, don't ruin your makeup," Kathryn said and hugged her. 

" Take care of yourself," Gwen said and got out of the car immediately, to avoid ruining her makeup with tears. 

Kathryn stayed in the car and wept for a while. She waited for Gwen to go inside before zooming off. 

Gwen summoned the courage, she straightened her shoulder and walked straight into the big company. 

The security officers were stunned, they almost naked Gwen with their piercing gaze. 

" Fuck!!! " Gwen said inwardly as she lipped her hair. 

" I'm here for the interview " Gwen was forced to bring the security officer back to life after standing for a while, without being attended to. 

" Ooh!! , sorry Miss. Please, you can go in, "he said to Gwen. 

She took a few steps and stopped when she heard that someone called out to her. She turned. 

" Miss, your beauty is unmatched, " The security officer said to her. 

" Thanks, " Gwen replied. 

She walked straight to the reception. She could feel people's gaze but that was what she wanted.

" Miss, how can we help you? " Ligaya asked, feeling intimidated by Gwen's look.

" I'm here for an interview, is your boss around? " Gwen asked politely. 

" Yes miss, I will call his office, " Ligaya said. 

Gwen stood and focused on her phone. She could feel that people were taking pictures of her. She became shy and lowered her head. 

" How can a modeling company look so big? " Gwen cursed inwardly. 

" Miss, Someone is coming to take you to the boss's office, " Ligaya said after the phone call. 

" Miss, can I also take a picture of you? " Ligaya was forced to say. 

" Yes, please  Gwen has never been this shy her entire life. 

She sighted a tall young man walking towards her and she knew instantly that he was the one coming to fetch her. 

Barry was stunned, at a point he couldn't feel his legs. 

" We asked for a model and not a mermaid or an angel," Barry said to himself. 

He walked up to her with an expression of " There is no need for an interview ". 

" You must be Miss Gwenevere Bautista? " Barry asked in a composed manner. 

" Yes, I am, " Gwen replied with a perfect smile. 

" Please come with me," Barry said and led the way, she followed him like a puppy. 

They used the elevator and arrived at the 6th floor. Barry knocked and he heard his boss's cold voice from inside. 

" Come in ". 

" Miss, please go in, " Barry said and walked away. 

Gwen could feel her heart pounding. Her palm became wet. 

" You can do this Gwen," She said and walked inside the office with her head down. 

The CEO gazed at the girl that just walked into his office. He started from her heels, then her hot slender legs. 

Her fair laps captivated him. He blinked his eyes twice and continued to scan the girl at his front. 

" This is exactly what I want," Ricardo said to himself. 

His gaze traveled to her face, and when he saw her face, he jerked up from his chair. 

" You?!! " Ricardo screamed. 

Gwen looked up immediately and almost lost her balance. 

Gwenevere….

Ricardo… 

Gwen held her stomach immediately. 

" My kidney," Gwen said to herself and was about to run away. 

" Don't even think of it, are you sulking me? " Ricardo said with a stern voice. 

" Do you always run away instead of solving your problems? " Ricardo felt irritated by her actions. 

He left his position and walked straight to the girl, who was about to melt. 

Gwen took a step backward, she continued moving back until she hit her back on the wall and there was no place for her to run to. 

" You can as well enter the wall ". Ricardo said. 

" I didn't do any of those things intentionally " Gwen tried to save herself. 

" You threw up on my expensive dress, you ruined my Arabian suit with two cups of tea and you call it a mistake? " Ricardo replied. 

He went back to his office chair and sat down. 

" I.. I…You see!!! " Gwen stammered. First time in her life that she ran out of words. 

" Name your price and I will pay " Gwen summoned the courage but she wouldn't dare to look at his face. 

" If you are so rich, why are you looking for a job? Anyways, your kidney is enough for me " Ricardo replied coldly, which made Gwen's heart skip. 

Gwen screamed out.

" What?!!! ". 

" you are lucky that I don't add my personal affairs to my business affairs," Ricardo said. 

" Sit down," He said in a commanding tone. 

 

She sat down quietly but the next thing he did made her speechless.
