To everyone's surprise, Mavis held Timothy's hand after saying her piece. She looked at everyone with a taunting smirk and said, "It's fine if you guys can't tell he's faking it. After all, your marriage contracts are officially annulled. I'm his fiancée now."
The group of women opposite her frowned.
Even Isabelle's expression drastically changed. She focused on Mavis and Timothy, finally sensing something was amiss.
She thought, "Wait, yeah. How could Mavis possibly agree to the marriage contract if Timothy's actually a loser? Could it be that there's more to him than his unassuming appearance? Has he been putting on a pretense to fool us? But…"
Doubt filled Isabelle's mind again as she continued pondering, "But he really doesn't seem like someone extraordinary, though… He looks sloppy and has a devil-may-care attitude, which fits the image of a loser. How capable can he be?"
