Ella's POV
Standing there with my eyes wide open, I observe my parents going to another work trip as the beta of the pack. I was overjoyed, filled with excitement as my parents promised to take me with them the next time they have a mission.
"Dad, Are you going on another mission?" I asked, beaming from ear to ear. The prospect of joining them on this adventure had consumed my thoughts for weeks, and now I couldn't contain my eagerness any longer.
"No, I'm just helping your mom tidy the cardboard." He denied. Making me quiet for a second and observing the situation.
"In a trolley? I asked pouting. " And I always saw you pack the van." I added.
"Okay, love you got me." He paused looking at me. Trying to come up with an excuse. "We are. But..."
