The meeting had ended about half an hour ago. It took every ounce of self control I had left in me not to hurry to the Crescent Moon Pack.
At the moment, I was not myself as my mind was spiraling. With my hands in my pockets, I was pacing the place grounds.
The ominous silence which hung in the air added to my worries as I kept hoping and praying that Aurora was fine.
I hated allowing her to go alone even though I had guards posted to the pack in secret. I was going to stop her again when she brought up the request, but she needed to see her father, and I couldn’t be everywhere at once.
Still, my instincts were sharp, screaming at me from the inside. I had learned long ago never to ignore them.
