Lupe's POV
I moved sluggishly down through grand corridor of the palace, with a large tray of moderately cooked beef, two goblets filled with honeywine, a bunch of ripe grapes and two large bowls of soup.
The smell of the barely cooked meat left a nauseous feeling in my stomach. For the third time today, I felt like throwing up; all thanks to the awful smell of the King's meal.
"Hurry up Lupe! If you keep moving in that pace, the food will be cold before it gets to His highness." Sarah snapped from behind me.
I turned back, she was standing with her hands hanging loosely on her waist and her cooking soup in another hand.
"Why are you so slow today?" She frowned.
I attempted what resembled a smile, "I'm sorry, I will hurry over now." I replied increasing my pace.
The guards gave way for me as I entered the King's chambers, he was no where to be found. Not wanting to stay any longer, I dropped the tray on the table of his dinning room.
