After being hung up on, Edward was so furious that he kicked the wall in the hospital's inpatient wing. He vowed that the next time he saw Elias, he'd give the latter a good beating.
Fortunately, the call had been automatically recorded and would soon be sent to Nolan. "Let's see if Grandpa would still praise Elias now," Edward mused.
Edward resumed the call with Michael Donovan, the middleman for the antidote sale. Since the seller dared to ask for 150 million dollars, he was willing to pay it. However, if that antidote failed to wake Macie up, he would hunt them down no matter how far away they were.
Michael was about to resume negotiations when the seller received another call.
Edward, already livid from dealing with Elias, exploded. "Goddamn it! Do they even know what negotiation means? Are we moving forward with this deal or not? If they're out, I'll just find someone else to buy from!"
