It’s almost midnight and I'm back at my usual spot in the living room. For some reason, the atmosphere here makes me think better or not sleep off in seconds. The difference between this night and the others is that instead of working on my new book, I’m searching for a dead labour union leader. I have to be careful. I didn’t want to imagine what would’ve been the outcome if he heard my conversation with Drew. I doubt it would have ended with me getting fired.I skim through the work and am about to hit send when a couple of words catch my eyes.

My heart beats loudly as I stare at the burner phone. It can be anything and I didn’t want to jump into conclusions immediately so I decide to take the stapler and shut the drawer back.
