CHAPTER 7 JENNA’S POV After the little heart to heart conversation with Cassie, I got a call from Rob. I know right. Talk about the devil. “She’s going to be with you in a minute” I heard the house servant say before I could descend completely from the stairs. He looked breathtaking from the angle I stood at. From the side he looked composed. His lips pressed in as he glanced at his watch. His gaze lifted from his watch and then rested on me. A small blush crept on my face. “You look beautiful today, just as always.” His voice was low and firm as I took careful strides towards him. He stood up, placing a peck on my cheek. “C’mon I’ve got a surprise for you.” What could this man suddenly be planning? “If this is another gift, I’m not taking it” I said jokingly. “Don’t worry, this is one you can’t reject.” He winked at me before leading the way to the door. The car was already outside waiting for us, except there was something odd. There wasn’t a driver.

CHAPTER 6 JENNA’S POV I stayed curled up on the sofa, staring blankly at the heart shaped pendant I got from Rob. Apparently he’d sent it to the house hours before I woke up with a note that read ‘a piece of my heart to you’. The room was quiet except for the ticking sounds from the clock that hung up above me.
