The Demon King's Obsession

The Demon King's Obsession

Lysan knows how this story ends. He killed the Demon King once. Then he was poisoned for it. When he wakes in a stranger's body sixty years before his own birth, he has one plan: disappear totally. But the Demon King is alive again—young, beautiful, and already watching Lysan like he's the most fascinating thing he's ever seen. Roman Da'Luka doesn't know Lysan killed him in another life. He doesn't know something ancient is sleeping inside him. All he knows is that he can't look away, that Lysan is different. That he can't stay away, and the more Lysan pushes him back, the more he wants to pull him closer. And Lysan—Lysan tells himself he hates Roman. That he's just a monster waiting to unfold. That every touch means nothing. But every touch burns. Every whispered promise feels like a warning. Roman offers him everything—answers, protection, a place by his side. And when Roman kisses him, Lysan kisses back. When Roman whispers that he wants him—Lysan's heart betrays him before his mind can catch up. Dyleon was the only person who looked at Lysan with pure, selfless love. Dyleon is gone now—walked out after watching Lysan kiss the monster he's supposed to hate. Now Lysan has a choice. He can let the Entity consume Roman and everyone he loves. Or he can get closer to the monster he's supposed to hate. Make Roman trust him—need him, and make Roman fall in love with him. But Roman's obsession is dangerous—and intoxicating. The more Lysan pretends, the more he forgets it's a game. The more Roman touches him, the harder it is to remember the lie. He's supposed to be saving everyone. Instead, he's falling for the one person who will destroy him and the one that makes him feel alive.

When Lysan got to the clock tower, it was empty—no one was there. So he decided to wait. The air that night felt chillingly cold, and the moon was hidden behind the clouds, making the tower a bit dark. After what felt like hours, Lysan finally heard footsteos approaching, and his shoulders squared, tensing up.Silas finally stepped out of the shadows. His face was totally different from the previous life. Young, pale and with sharp eyes. Lysan remembered that he saw his particular face, staring at him on the day of the combat exams from the crowd, but he was too overwhelmed to notice.“You asked to see me?” Silas said, and a small smile was tugged at the corner of his lips.Lysan swallowed down the huge lump that formed in his throat and clenched his fists tightly together. “I have questions.”Silas shrugged. "Okay, ask."“I have a lot of questions, Silas. But let's stick to the main thing for now.” He said and shoved his hands in his pocket to prevent Silas from seeing how badly h

Chapter: Chapter 16- Roman's Offer
When Lysan got back to his dorm, Kassian wasn't there, and he was silently grateful. He dropped on the bed and thought about Roman's request. He doesn't want to go. Not after what he had done to Dyleon. Not after how he had hurt him. But he knew Roman will find him and drag him there himself, one way or another if he doesn't go willingly, so he foreced himself to stand up. He took of his uniform and put on a simple black trousers and a blue sweater. He wore his sneakers and headed out to Roman's quarters. — When he arrived there, the door was open. Inside, there were a few students, mingling with each other. They were either nobles, aristocrats, or the children of powerful families. They were laughing and drinking, fake smile spread across their lips as they pretended to be friends with each other. Lysan stepped inside, and his eyes scanned the crowd, looking for a particular someone. Roman. He saw him at the center of the crowd, charming everyone. When Roman's eyes

His eyes narrowed when Lysan walked through the door, and he studied Lysan's face."Where the hell have you been?" Kassian demanded.Lysan didn't answer. He just walked past him and collapsed on his bed.Kassian stood. "Lysan?” He frowned. “Talk to me."Lysan stared at the ceiling. "I finally lost him."Kassian shook his head. "Lost who?""Dyleon." Lysan's voice was hollow. "He saw me with Roman. He saw me kiss him back."Kassian was silent for a long moment. "Shit." He muttered beneath his breath. He sat at the edge of Lysan's bed

He stood there for a full minutes before he raised his hand to knock.Roman opened it immediately, like he had been waiting for Lysan at the door."You came," Roman said, leaning on the door frame.Lysan swallowed hard. "I said I would."A small smile tugged at the corner of Roman’s lips as he stepped aside for Lysan to enter. The room was dimly lit, camdles flickering on every surface. Roman's quarters was lavish—rich fabrics, dark wood, and the air carried the smell of lavender.“Sit.” Roman gestured to the sofa in the living room.Lysan took a seat on the single seater beside him. Roman equally sat too—across from him, his grey eyes fixed on Lysan's face.“I've been thinking about you,” Roman said as he leaned back in his chair. “Constantly. I can't seem to stop.”Lysan’s jaw tightened. “That’s not healthy.”“Probably not,” the smile returned to Roman's face. “But I don't care.”He reached out and touched Lysan's hand. “Stay with me tonight,” he said

Roman pulled back, his smile widening as he watched the frozen expression on Lysan's face.He stepped back casually, returning to the front of the class like nothing had happened.“Now, class,” Roman said, his voice warm and charming again. “Let's move ahead with today's lesson.”Lysan didn't hear a word. His breath was still caught in his chest. The spot where Roman touched him was still burning.Roman admitted he wanted him. In return for help, he wanted him. How could he—“Lysan? Lysan?” Dyleon tugged his arm. “What did Roman say to you?”Lysan shook his head quickly. “No, nothing. It's nothing. Roman didn't say anything.”Dyleon narrowed his eyes. “That wasn't nothing. Lysan hadn't slept for days—he couldn't. Anytime he closed his eyes, he always saw Silas's face—the way it looked in the original timeline, twisted with contempt as he spat on Lysan's dying body. Silas had been here—and he had been watching him the whole time.He stood up from his bed and walked to the window. The academy grounds are quiet, the pale morning light reflecting on every building.Somewhere in that academy, Silas was walking around, eating breakfast, going to class, pretending to be a normal student.Somewhere out there, Silas is walking around. Lysan groaned and pulled his hair. “Ughhhhh. And I fucking have no Idea who that bastard is.” He said to himself. His hands curled into fists.“Do what you like, Silas, but I'm not going to hide.
