Alpha's Heart, Ana's Fate

Alpha's Heart, Ana's Fate

The ritual of the sacred flame turned bloody and my world burned with it. I am the daughter of Alpha Ciaro and Luna Thaila of the powerful Cirgee Pack, a Pack built on loyalty, peace, and honor. Then Lucan betrayed us. By dawn, my home was ash. My parents were dead. And I became a survivor of the bloodbath that shook all of Greenvallor City. Hunted by rogues and haunted by revenge, I fleed into the territory of Kieran Blackwood, the young Alpha feared for his cold control and ruthless strength. His Pack sees me as a threat. His warriors want me gone, Rose especially. But beneath Kieran’s icy stare is something dangerous. Something that pulls me towards him even when I know I should run. As war spreads across the territories and hidden enemies rise from the shadows, I uncover terrifying truths about my bloodline… and a forbidden bond that could destroy everything Kieran and I are fighting to protect. Because Lucan didn’t just murder my Pack. He started a war. And somehow, I am at the center of it. Now I must decide what kind of Alpha I will raise, One ruled by vengeance… Or one strong enough to rebuild what fear tried to destroy. But in a world where betrayal hides behind loyalty and love. Wars start and survival comes at a deadly cost. The moon always demands blood.

Chapter: CHAPTER FIVE: CLAIMS AND SHADOWS
The door swung open. Rose walked in.The atmosphere of the room transformed as soon as she appeared as if it could feel that she fit into it better than I did.Her eyes flitted across the room, not lingering on the room itself, or even on me, but on the empty space where Kieran had been a mere minutes prior. She didn’t question me, nor demand an explanation. Instead, she stared, as if affirming a suspicion she had come to form.Next, her eyes traveled back to mine.“I saw you,” she stated. There was something cutting about her tone despite its measured restraint.“Through the window.” I couldn’t respond right away, my body still strained from the pain that had occurred throughout the day.Rose made her way deeper into the room without any invitation.“That is Alpha Kieran,” she continued.A slight pause. “And I know what I witnessed.”My hand clenched involuntarily against my side. She tilted her head. “You do not belong in his territory.”The silence was thick and heavy. Not awkward

Chapter: CHAPTER FOUR: A PLACE THAT DOESN’T ACCEPT YOU
Darkness seemed to creep towards me gradually. Distant sounds could be heard somewhere around me, but none of them was audible enough to make out. My body seemed to be weightless and heavily burdened at once; exhaustion had taken me to a place of semi-sleep state. Warmth was then pressed against me. It was powerful and strong, i could not comprehend the sensation. Then I felt it, I'm being carried. The recognition cut through the darkness, allowing some awareness. I heard some Tramping footsteps in soggy ground and beneath all of those noises came the consistent heartbeat that did not belong to me. I managed to open my eyes slightly. The surroundings were blurry first. Grey skies, black tree tops, wolves walking beside me. But then it cleared up enough to know what was happening. I was in Alpha Kieran’s embrace. Horror gripped me with such intensity that I stiffened immediately. “I can walk,” I said hoarsely. Kieran didn’t even bother stopping. “You won’t,” he said. Softly.

Chapter: CHAPTER THREE: THE BORDER OF JUDGMENT
The instant I couldn’t answer, the forest transformed, without any noise or violence. But I sensed it right away.Seeing the two warriors standing before me in a manner that gave me goosebumps, their focus sharpened.I felt a choke forming within me.Mud puddles were formed as rainwater from my torn cloak fell to the mud-splashed floor.“I…” I said shakily. “I don’t have”…. The sentence remained unfinished. It only became true after speaking it aloud.I was nothing but lost in the whole world. The grip of the taller warrior tightened around his weapon. “Say your Pack again,” he commanded. My hands clenched at my side. “I don’t have one.” There was silence. Long andDeadly. The second warrior took a look at me, studying my bloodstained arms, torn cloak stitching, and exhaustion. Then he changed his face.“You are a Cirgee survivor,” he whispered softly.Painfully, the word stabbed at my heart.Cirgee… It isn’t my home anymore but now only a grave….His eyes tightened further. “Cirgee f

Chapter: CHAPTER TWO: THE TUNNEL OF NO RETURN
I raced forward as soon as the door of the stone shut behind me. My mother's final instruction still resounded within my mind. Run. The darkness consumed me as I sped through the tunnel, my feet slipping on stone. I couldn’t catch my breath. I couldn’t think straight. My chest was on fire so badly it hurt as though my rib cage would split open. But even behind me, muffled by stone and earth, the battle was raging still. Screams in the distance. Steel clashed loudly. Roars sounded faintly. Each one tore at me. But I kept running. Tears blurred my vision but I wiped them away furiously. There was no stopping now. Lucan's wolves would find the tunnel entrance. They would search all the passages beneath the mountain. And then they would kill me. The tunnel turned sharply before me. I slammed one hand against the wall as darkness enclosed around me, preventing my body from stumbling. But then another scream rose up faintly behind me, Luna Thaila's voice. I came to an

Chapter: CHAPTER ONE: The Sacred Night Ritual
The Sacred Moon Rite always started off the same, fire, rituals and the joyful dance around the sacred fire.I stood between my parents as the wolves congregated in the full moonlight, lighting the whole territory with the glow of the ceremony. The wolves rounded in circles, chanting harmoniously and receiving the blessing of the Moon Goddess. It all seemed so peaceful and calm. Alpha Ciaro, dressed in fur that was adorned by silver markings."This isn't your first sacred rite Ana, you should also go dance and get the blessing of the Moon Goddess. " my father said, never bothering to turn towards me."I've been there before," I stated. Alpha Ciaro turned to me. "Watching is one thing; but being a part of it is something completely different."Luna Thaila rubbed the back of my cloak, holding onto it longer than usual.."You should listen to your father " she muttered. "Not now Mom." "You will" she said softly. "You seem tense. It's just a dance okay but if you don't want to dance it's
