From here, the story follows Mira's forced entry into Kael's world: fleeing Silas, uncovering her heritage, completing the mate bond with Kael despite the danger it puts them both in, and facing the Wolf Council when their bond is exposed as forbidden. It builds to open war between Kael and Silas for control of Chicago's underground, with Mira refusing to hide behind anyone she fights beside Kael, helps save his life, and is publicly claimed as his Luna once Silas is defeated.
