Chapter 17

We were speeding through the forest. I could hear the leaves cracking sounds beneath many paws. The only indication that the pack was following. I don't think it's there only pack runners. I'm sure they have more members. I'm just yet to meet them.

We were running like that for hours. Eventually when the sound of many paws steps following us faded away.

The wolf below me paused in his run. I was breathing heavily, flipping so I fall on the ground on my back. I smiled up at the wolf who was now towering over me.

"It was amazing!" I exclaimed.

The wolf started to shift back within seconds a very naked Alastair fell over me. Grinning ear to ear, "Glad to know my charm doesn't fall over your head. I was starting to lose hope" he faked sadness.

I slapped his hand. "Shut up, will you? " I said. Folding my arms on my chest. He flipped so he was laying beside me. We both looked up at the beautiful dark sky, the stars covering the whole sky. Part of trees are also visib
