Chapter 4

GLAIZA’S POV

"Barbie, I don't know what to reply." 

She chuckled "What did she say?" 

I sat up "She asked me if we can go out together. What will I say?" 

"Asked her if this is a date or something?" She suggested while hugging my pillow

I smacked her head "You are crazy!" 

She chuckled "Relax! I'm just kidding! Why don't you go out with her? You are acting like she asked for a real date." 

I blushed "Whatever!" 

"Hey! Hey! Hey! Are you blushing?" Barbie teased

I rolled my eyes "Stop! Please!" 

Barbie giggled "You are so cute! This is the first time that I saw you blushing over a person.. I mean over a girl.”

I looked at her sternly "Barbie, stop being silly and shut up.”

"Hi." Rielle greeted me

"Where are we going?" I asked in a monotone

"Ice queen mode? Well, I don't know where you want to go, sooo tell me.”

I sighed "Wherever you want." 

She nodded "Okay." 

She opened the passenger door "Let's go?" 

I hopped into the car without saying a word.

Rielle ran into the other side of the car and stepped into the driver seat.

While Rielle's driving, I noticed that she likes to hum. 

"Anything you want?" She asked when she noticed me looking at her

"Nothing. You are somewhat quiet." 

She smiled at her "I just don't want to annoy you.”

I frowned and looked away "If you say so" 

I fetched my phone from my pocket and played some games. It's pretty boring here.

When I got bored playing games, I looked at Rielle and said "You can annoy sometimes.” 

She looked at me and said, "I guess you are bored, yeah?" 

I nodded.

"Uhhh I'm glad that you actually accepted my invitation.” She chuckled

"I just don't have anything to do today, that is why.” I said in monotone

"Well... hehe" She said awkwardly "By the way, are you excited for the upcoming inter school competition next week?" She asked

"You mean, the inter 'boring' school competition? Yeah, I'm so excited about it" I sarcastically said

She slightly chuckled "You'll have fun this time. I'll promise you that.”

"Can I ask you something?" 

She nodded and smiled "Go on" 

"Is this a date?" I asked

"Huh?" 

"Whatever.” I rolled my eyes on her, she’s making it more hard for me to communicate with her

"Well, for now let's just call it a hang out. We'll just hang out this time. But I'll date you the next time.” She winked at me

I looked away 'cause I know my face is turning into crimson red right now. This is not what I am expecting to happen.

"Where are we?" I asked as I looked around

Empty road, forest, just us. Wow. I don't have any plans to die yet.

"This is a secret place. By the way, you know how to skate, right?" She asked as she got the skateboard from the compartment

"No way." I shook my head

She walked towards me "Why? This is fun." 

"There is no way in hell I will ride that piece of plastic.” I still refused 

Rielle grinned playfully "Let’s just have a deal.”

I raised my right brow "What deal?" 

She rubbed her chin using her thumb "I will do anything you want for a day.”

I looked at her "You mean, you'll be my slave?" I asked as lean against her car 

She leaned against her car next to me "If that's what you want to call it.” She said as she wrapped her arm around my shoulder 

I pinched her waist.

"Oh! Oh! Glaiza!" She yelped

"I will not release you until you remove your dirty arm around my shoulder.” I said pinching her harder

Rielle removed her arm around my shoulder "now please, you are hurting me.” She cried

She stepped backwards as I released her "You are too mean, I'm just playing around.”

"Well, you played too much.” I said

She sighed "Let's just start, can we?"

"See? It's easy, right?" Rielle smiled at me 

I kicked using my right foot to add more speed "Yeah, I admit." 

"Hey! Don't be too fast!" Rielle warned me 

"Why?" I asked

Rielle didn't answer me, the next thing I knew, I'm in the ground with Rielle on top of me.

What happened?

Rielle looked at me "Are you okay?" She asked caressing my face using her palm

"Wh... what happened?" I asked

She chuckled "You almost hit by a truck" 

She got up and sat next to me "Are you sure you are okay?" 

I sat up "Yeah, don't worry" 

She smiled "I'm thankful that you are okay." 

She frowned when she looked at the two broken skateboards.

"Your skateboards" I uttered

She stood up and picked the two skate boards up. 

I stood up and walked towards her "I'm sorry.”

She smiled "I still can buy a new one. Don't worry.”

I nodded "But, I'm still sorry." 

She patted my head "Don't be. Do you want to go home now?" 

I nodded. 

We walked back to her car but I noticed she is not walking properly.

"Rielle, are you okay?" I asked

She stopped from walking. "My right foot hurts, but I'm okay.”

"I'll drive." I said as we started to walk again

"If that's what my angle wants.” She said playfully

She can still make jokes in this kind of situation.

"So, you live here?" I asked Rielle while I'm supporting her 

"Yeah." She answered as she opened the door

I carefully placed her on the sofa "Let me see your foot" 

I carefully removed her combat shoes.

"Glai, be careful." She whined

"I'm sorry, let me take off your sock." 

After I removed her sock, I'm shocked to see Rielle's foot swelling.

"It's swelling" I uttered

"Coach will kill me for sure.” She laughed

"You still can laugh?" I asked as I stood up "Where is your kitchen?" 

"Turn right. Why?" She asked in confusion

I went to her kitchen without answering her. After I got what I needed I went to where Rielle is, but before I could reach where she was, I heard some yelling. 

What's happening? 

I stopped from my track, I know it's rude to listen but it's hard not to listen, they are yelling, you know? 

"I asked what happened to your foot?" A unfamiliar girl shouted

"It's none of your fucking bussiness!! Please, get out of here! You are trespassing!" Rielle shouts back

"Rielle, please. I'm begging you, I'm really sorry, I swear I didn't cheat on you." The girl begged

"Oh, is that the reason why you are here? Ashley, you've hurt me so many times. I loved you, but you just treated me like a pet. Now, I can't see any reason why I should go back to you." Rielle cried

Is she really crying?

"Fuck." I cursed

I walked towards them and the Ashley girl's eyes widened in surprise.

"Glaiza, what are you doing here?" She asked

Rielle is giving me a questioning look like ‘Why did you show yourself?’ ‘Are you out of your mind?’

"This is my girlfriends house." I said in monotone

And this is the dumbest decision I ever made. 

"No way." She shook her head and refused to believe me

I sat next to Rielle and wiped her tears away "Tell her that I'm your girlfriend" 

God! Why am I doing this?

Rielle still gives me a confused look, I secretly pinch her side.

"Oh! Yes! She's.. she's my girlfriend" She said and wrapped her arm around my shoulder

"I'm not believing you." Ashley said

Rielle grinned "Do you want me to kiss her in front of you?"

Ashley immediately shook her head "Gosh! No!" 

"Then get your ass off here. We don't need you here" I shooed her away

When Ashley finally left, I bent down to her foot and pressed the ice pack against her swelling foot.

"Uhhh Glai?" She called

"Hmm? Does it hurt?" I asked

"No, what's up with you? Why did you do that?" 

"Cause I know she will not stop bugging you.”

"But you don't have to do that. She will tell everyone in school about us just to get back at me.”

"We just have to deny it. No big deal.”

It’s not a big deal when I am the one who wants us to be friends secretly. I’m out of control. This is the reason why I kept my distance from her for three fucking years.
