Chapter 4: I'm his unconfirmed mate

"Think hard and tell me again," Janice said, persistent to make me say what she wanted to hear.

"No. Nada. Definitely not. I didn't feel any sparks, only warmth, and sweaty hands... also how do you know what spark feels like?" I asked to which alpha gray groaned and Janice slapped her forehead at my question.

"Honestly, is it some kind of electric spark or a pinch?" I continued.

"Can someone please kidnap her!?" Janice cried out in exasperation.

She has a way of making things way dramatic than it’s supposed to be. I don't have a problem since I always sit back and watch her go crazy around me.

"How about a pull?" Alpha gray asked.

"What kind of pull? The elevator one or a magnetic?" I asked, trying to get a clearer picture of it.

It probably sounds annoying but I wanted to know how it feels when you're next to your mate and which can also clear the confusion that my supposed mate was telling.

"Magnetic... I think. I haven't met my mate yet." Janice shrugged.

"Whatever it is, I don't feel anything towards him. I'm sorry Alpha Ivan but I think your wolf must've gotten confused." I said, looking up to him.

In an instant, his eyes flickered to black and I cursed internally on how regretful I'm gonna be. I forgot the most important rule. RULE NO. 1: Never provoke the wolves, especially Alphas.

"Or maybe your mate ran away because she was overwhelmed." I quickly tried to cover my words but I guess my grave is ready for my invitation.

"You are my mate. I'm not mistaken at all." Alpha Ivan said in a stern voice that gave me chills down my spine.

I gulped, trying to say something but I could only squeak out a breath.

Alpha gray cleared his throat as Janice rubbed my back to ease my frightened posture. "There must be something wrong with her not identifying you as her mate. But please give us a day to decide, she's someone we worry and care about a lot."

"Wow! Really?" I asked, surprised.

I didn't think they were really worried about me. Why? Because I'm a troublemaker in the pack. The most troublesome.

Alpha gray side glared at me, hoping I get the part where I don't interfere.

"She's my mate and I'll take her with me. Nobody is allowed to stop me from taking my mate along with me." Alpha Ivan growled at him.

Is his head thick or he just doesn't know how to accept negotiations?

Janice signaled me to handle him since she thinks I'm his mate but I guess it won't hurt to try.

"Alpha Ivan, I really respect your words but will you just give us a day? You can..." I looked at alpha gray who encouraged me to save him from a neck to neck fight. That would be fun to see though, "...stay here for the night."

I waited and waited as his expressions changed from contemplation to a poker face. "I will stay for the night but as soon as the day arrives, we will be preparing to leave."

His voice turned back to being stern as alpha gray nodded and ordered his men to prepare the guest’s suite room.

"So... I'll just go. Bye." I took no time to wait for their responses as Janice and I rushed out. Janice was faster than me though.

I slammed my door shut and that's when we started talking in loud voices that we didn't even notice Jace sitting there, judging us.

"Are you both done shouting and nearly deafening my hearing?" Jace spoke, startling me but not Janice. She definitely smelled his scent.

"OMG. Do you know what the heck happened!?" Janice started, joining Jace as she sat on my bed.

"I d-" Jace was cut off midway

"Clara can't feel the freaking mate stuff. And Mr. Hot Alpha Ivan is actually her mate. This woman is lucky." Janice sighed dreamily and talked as if I wasn't even there.

Well, my body was present but my soul left my body the minute I entered my room. Confronting an alpha from another pack was scary when I was clearly defying his words and a little fun...

"I don't understand though. Even a human would feel the mate pull or sparks or overwhelming. But what kind of case are you?" Jace questioned, wrecking his brain with possible reasons.

"I'm a laundry case. I seriously need a bath." I muttered, removing the smelly apron.

"I think I can't even smell anything anymore. You blocked my nose." Janice commented.

"Yeah, yeah. Now out both of you. I'm going to have a relaxing bath."

"Ugh! Alright." Janice said as she hopped off my bed and left the room with Jace whose head was still stuck in solving my case.

I waited for the steps to fade and then hurriedly picked up a suitcase under my bed.

This was definitely a wrong messed up idea but I need to escape before he forcefully takes me with him. I don't know whether he's speaking the truth through his eyes spoke the truth, I still gotta be alert.

In minutes my bag was packed up, packing even the snacks because I will be hungry as heck. I just needed to do one last thing.

.......

I stood before the dirty pile of clothes almost building a big mountain out of it.

"As much as I hate this, I must do it." I jumped on it, diving deep and rubbing the dirt on myself. I gagged, wanting to puke.

If I had a werewolf strong smelling sense, I definitely would've been in the hospital by now. And even dead because of this horrible smell and will have the words written, 'Died because of gym smelly clothes.'

"Okay, I think this is enough." I coughed, creeping out of the room.

Taking no time in delaying my escape, I headed towards my room before hearing an under breath mumbling sounding from the room. Since I wasn't much cautious and loved troubling my pack members, I barged in.

Wrong move. I stood put, frozen as Alpha Ivan stared stunned at me.

Let me rephrase that.

Alpha Ivan stared stunned at me with a mouthful of strawberries with its juice dripping off his mouth. He looked cute with puffed cheeks because of the strawberries and bowl of berries in his hand.

Is he gonna shove that in his mouth too?
