Evelyn's POV

I stared at the ceiling of our pack house clinic, realizing two things. One, I'm back in the pack house. Two, Xavier tried to kill me by starving my body!

Just then Clara startled me, "Xavier didn't try to kill you by starving. It's something else."

I eyed her suspiciously, seeing how she was back to supporting him like she used to before as well. "How would you know that?" I asked, noticing my voice sounding slightly hoarse.

Did he not drink water too?

"Ah, that! Jace brought the witches' book- don't know about the title, it was some weird gigantic words- so I tried out one spell from it because I was curious and he ate a lot when he was in your body."

I blinked in puzzlement. "You were able to chant a spell?"

"Yeah, I got some witch blood in me. It's very slight though. The thickness is more of werewolf genes."

Ah... that explains. Well, Esmeralda is her relative so it's a possibility.
