It's been three hours since I made it to my parents house. My mom and I ate all the cookies n' cream ice cream that we had. We watched Disney movies, they can make anyone happy. Of course we watched my favorite, Mulan, then we watched Dumbo. My dad came back to the living room after two hours. He looked tired but relieved. I asked him what he was doing for the past two hours and he just said business stuff. Business, the awful word I try to avoid. Even though I can't really, I'm 'boss' of my mom's fashion headquarters here in New York. Her main building is in L.A., but she's hardly ever there. She spends a lot of her time in Paris with some of the best designers in the world. I don't design much,  I can and do when I feel like it, I'm mostly in charge of the business trades through New York and making sure we are making a good profit.

"Is Bia here?" I hear a yell from the front door, obviously Blake.

"Shut up Blake!" I yell back and lay back down on the couch, my head next to my mom's legs.

"You said you'd be back soon," Blake says sternly when he gets into the room. "You've been gone for three hours and didn't even call me!"

"Blake Anthony!" Mom scolds as she stands up, "your sister's boyfriend just broke up with her. She is very upset and doesn't want to listen to your yelling."

"It's alright mom," I sniff and stand up next to her. From all my crying my nose got really runny. "Besides Blake I said I'd be back later, not soon."

"Call me next time," he softens, not wanting to get in trouble with mom again.

"Blake you're here, perfect!" dad cheers as he comes in from the kitchen. "I'd like to talk to you in my office." He turns on his heel and heads right back up to his office. Blake hugs mom and kisses the top of my head before he follows my dad up the stairs.

"Janet can you go get more cookies n' cream ice cream?" Mom asks noticing Janet in the doorway.

"Of course ma'am," Janet nods while she replies and leaves the room. Blake and I never make any of the maids or butlers go get food, we usually do it ourselves. It's a sense of being normal.

"Mom she doesn't have to," I turn to face my mother who has signaled a maid to come and clean up the bowls and spoons. When my parents aren't here the maids and butlers do whatever they feel the need to. Blake and I usually clean up after ourselves so they get paid for showing up.

"With what I think your father is planning," mom sighs before she takes a deep breath, "you are going to need more." She leaves the room, leaving me alone and confused. I stand there for a moment before I head up to my room.

My room is simple. The walls are light brown panels with a dark brown border, making large squares and rectangles through out the room. Above my headboard there are two strips of light on the wall. On the left side of my bed there are closets built up a little off the ground. The doors are the same dark brown as the borders and there is two closets. My headboard is a dark brown wood that goes half way up my wall. I usually keep white sheets and covers on my bed but sometimes I like to use the burgundy sheets in my closet. On the right side of my bed are glass doors and windows that go from the floor to ceiling. That leads into my bathroom which is a full bath. I have two dark brown wooden nightstands on each side of my bed. They have a redwood lamp stand with a white lamp shade on top of them. On the right nightstand I always keep a small pot of flowers, usually daisies.

I grab my phone out of my pocket and lay down on my bed. My phone has a hundred messages from my best friend, Kayla Olson. She is a couple years younger than me, twenty-two, but she is the best person in the world. She was in one of my college classes and we were put together for an assignment. From there we've been best friends.

                                                                                                                         11:22 a.m.

11:22 a.m.   Nice to know you are alive! I'll see you then, you better be ready to party

I turn my phone off and lay back on to my bed. Tonight I'm going to get drunk. I need to let loose. Have some fun. After laying down for a good ten minute I get up and go to my closet. I'm only staying at Blake's for the week so almost all of my clothes are still here. I spend twenty minutes trying to find the perfect dress. Most of the clothes in my closet are from my mom's company. If I didn't wear something designer my mom would lose it, you don't want to see my mom pissed off.

I pull out a black dress that I designed. It stops about two inches under my butt, on the sides of my ribs there is a diamond cut that isn't too large. The v cut goes down to the tip of my ribs, showing off more cleavage than I usually would. The back is covered and it has long sleeves. Kay loves this dress so I decide to wear it later. My shoes I'll worry about later but for now I lay my dress on my bed and head back downstairs.

"We are having a family dinner at six," mom tells me as I enter the kitchen to get a water, "oh and I'm going to need those designs by Monday Bianca."

Monday! It's Saturday and most people don't go into the office Sunday. I groan internally then head to the living room. I can't get these designs done by Monday! She gave us the order on Thursday, we have only four designs done!

"Bumble bee come here," dad says while he's in the middle of the stairs.  This is the most my parents ever talk to me. I get up and head up to my dad's office with him. I don't know where Blake is, maybe he went home while I was in my room.

"What's up dad?" I ask as I sit on one of the comfy white chairs in his office. I lean against one arm rest and throw my legs over the other.

"Dinner tonight is business," he tells me, "The Baileys will be coming over tonight,  you need to behave. No smart comments or anything. This deal is very important to the company."

"They own that hotel chain right? The Queen Suites?" I ask and he nods, "that's like the largest hotel chain in he world! I hope the deal works for you!" He offers me a sad smiles and I furrow my eyebrows.

My dad makes billions off of the most ridiculous thing ever. His father, my grandpa, started an appliance business. Like house appliances. We make everything you could think of, stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers. Anything you can think of, we make. You wouldn't think that we'd be rich off of it but boy are we. That's why I'm glad Blake is taking over the company and I'm taking over the clothes company. My dad around five years ago bought out a furnishing company. We sell everything you need in a home, half of our stock goes to stores like IKEA and Sears.

I'm guessing this deal has to do them buying our appliance and furniture or something like that. I usually stay away from my dad's company. It gets too confusing.

"Hey Nara," he mumbles with a boyish grin, one hand on the nape of his neck and the other in his leather jacket pocket. He was always up for riding his motorcycle, said the leather jackets were just a plus. "Will," I practically growl, "Why the hell are you here?" "I need to talk to you," he says and I go to shut the door. He stops it with his hand that was previously on his neck, "Please Nara. Just hear what I have to say." "Why should I do that?" I snap, "you never did for me." "I am going to apologize for everything Nara," he replies, "please just give me a chance." "You know I don't believe in second chances," I mutter, "it leads to nothing but trouble." "Believe me, I know," he says, "but I'm not asking you to take me back. Just to hear me out." "I have a party to get ready for," I mumble and walk away, starting my way to my room. I hear the door shut, hoping he left but my

"Nara I need help in the kitchen!" Mom exclaims and I get off of the couch. Mom and Dad decided they wanted to have a graduation party for me, saying they love how I got my business degree, I want to be an interior designer. Uncle Blake said that I can partner with his company once I get a solid start. I'm excited, Georgie is going to be working with me. She said she doesn't think she could handle the responsibility of owning a whole business but it willing to be a worker. I of course agreed, who wouldn't want their best friend working with them? "I thought I told you I didn't want a cake," I say as I walk into the kitchen. My mom has her hair tied back into a short ponytail and a black apron over her clothes. She has flour handprints all over it from patting her hands clean, "you do realize the party is in an hour right? You still need to get ready." "It's almost one already?" Mom asks shocked as she sets the spoon in the bowl, "shoot! Can you please fin

"I now introduce you all to the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Patten!" The priest announces and everyone cheers. I give Selena back her bouquet and she happily walks down the aisle with her husband. I follow behind her with Zeke, his best man. "I feel bad for you Nara," Zeke jokes as we continue to walk, "Ryan is officially your brother now." "I know," I fake groan, "my life get worse by the day." "Aunt Nara! Aunt Nara!" A squeal comes from behind us. I glance back to see my nephew, Drake. He's two and is the cutest little boy ever. He has his mom's fiery red hair and his dad's brown eyes. "Where's your Dad Drake?" I ask as he walks with us down the aisle. "Back der," he says and points behind us, "he is loud." "Believe me I know," I chuckle and we are at the end of the aisle. "I'm sorry Nara," Cara apologizes as she picks up her son, "he's been very energetic today." "It's

Three weeks later "Calm her curls Mom," I say as Ellie sits in front of my vanity. Mom grabs a bottle and starts to work on Ellie's hair. I go to my bathroom and start on my makeup. I already did my hair while Mom did Ellie's makeup. Ellie's Mom died when she was eight so she never really had a mother figure in her house, but whenever she came here my mom would treat Ellie as one of her own. "Your dresses are laid out in the guest room," Mom tells us as she leaves my room. I grab my phone and realize that we have to leave in ten minutes. I drag Ellie to the guest room and throw her dress at her. I slip on my dress and Ellie does as well. I slip on a pair of white platform heels and Ellie puts on a pair of silver pumps. Mom got each of us a new clutch, mine a dull red and Ellie's is silver with navy accents. "They are here to pick you up!" Mom calls and that's our cue to go downstairs. At the door my dad is talking wit

"Hows this dress?" Ellie asks as she twirls out of the changing room. I roll my eyes and and she raises her eyebrows waiting for a response. "I told you," I sigh, "you are trying way to hard, just find something you like. Or you can have my mom make you one." "I said I'm not having her make me one if I can't pay for it," she replies and pulls the end of the dress down, "I guess this dress is a little short." "You guess right," I reply, "now change back. We are going somewhere else." She knows not to question me because o won't give it. She heads back in and changes into her clothes, leaving the dress in the changing room. We go out to my car and I drive off. Ellie switches the radio station and Halo by Beyoncé comes on. We both smile before we start to scream the lyrics. I turn down the busy city street and wait through traffic, which sucks. "Selena I said no," Ellie groans as I pull in front of my mom's bu

"She was just gone?" Austin says and I nod, "ooh man. That sucks hard." A quick image flashes through my mind causing my to smirk but it quickly falls. "Believe me it does," I groan and lean back in my chair. "Mr. Bailey, I expect you to be quiet while I'm teaching," Professor Ulrik says. "Sorry Professor," I say and continue to draw circles on my notebook. I turn back to Austin and whisper, "girls are being annoying as fuck to me lately." "I know, first Jenna now Cara," he replies and glare at him, "sorry bro but she was like your first serious girlfriend." "Cause I thought she wasn't a hoe," I scoff, "looks can be deceiving, so can words." "That's why I'm not settling down yet," he smirks, "I'm finding out which girls are hoes are not. Perfect plan." "All while you are being a hoe," I chuckle but cover it with a cough as our Professor looks up. "That's it for class
