"Thanks, Mommy." I grinned as I spoke to Mom over the phone. My lips pulled into a pout, my eyelashes batting like that of a child who was cajoling his mom for a lollipop. 

"Is your course a stressful one?" She queried. 

"Hm-hm. It's not too stressful. It's quite fine. And I'm really happy here. A lot of people like me. I feel loved." Saying that alone, she sobbed. I rolled my eyes, surprised at how well she could be emotional. 

"I'm so glad you're happy." Her voice was shaky, probably because she was weeping. "I can finally sleep well at night."

I giggled. "Drama queen."

She laughed for a while. And after a moment of telling me how bored she always was, she said “goodbye”, and hung up immediately. 

Hunching a hard sigh, I leaned my back against the comfy sofa. S

I really hope she isn’t stupid enough to get with Sebastian. At the same time she was driving me nuts with her conviction that she could change him.
