CHAPTER XVIII: HEALING

His smartphone rings while he was waiting to be prepped for his mini-surgery. He knows his back needs stitches but the cut near his right cheekbone was too deep to just let it heal naturally. Besides, his handsome face is on the line and he considers it a worthy investment, given the industry that he’s working in.
