Stepping outside the mini-bar, I noticed a familiar car in the parking lot, and my breath hitched. The only place I had seen that car was at Alex's house. The model of this Mercedes was rare and, dare I say, very expensive.

Could Alex be here?

The possibility was very slim because I didn't tell him which mall I was headed to.

But I was hell bent on finding out.

Mia and I rounded the parking lot, headed towards the main mall.

"I'm going to need new toiletries, new sandals, tank tops, crop tops," Mia counted off with her right fingers, while bouncing along beside me. "I have lots of joggers and pants. I also need new gowns." My attention was divided as I was trying to decipher the familiar masculine frame that stood with one of the mall concierges.

"What are you buying, Lu?" She asked, tapping me lightly, dragging my attention back to her.
