The ride took two hours. Exactly two hours of sitting in the backseat with two of my husbands facing me, and two gruelling hours of listening to their thoughts.

*She really kissed Rhydian. I saw it with my own eyes.*

*The witch actually kissed him. And last night, Kaelen also told me he saw her in the kitchen helping the maid with her healing saliva.*

I glanced up from my tablet and looked at Kaelen. So, that shadow I saw had been him, and he had told Draven, and possibly Rhydian, about it.

10 days to the Apocalypse!Helena had cleared Rhydian and I yesterday, and today, we were leaving for my dad's estate. Today, I was wearing a dress. I was wearing a fit that was perfect for moving on foot through the woods, because that's exactly how we are travelling. According to the book, Seraphina always kept an eye on Vespera, especially as the apocalypse came closer, and I'm sure she's planning something dangerous for me again. I couldn't risk letting her know I was travelling. Plus, more aggressive wolves that are acting strange have started to show up. They haven't started to bite anyone yet, but it was causing traffic jams and yesterday, I heard an airport was closed because of it. Another reason why I couldn't risk going with a vehicle. The last reason was that my dad's estate wasn't on any maps, and there were no proper roads that led to the place. The only way was to follow an old trail that was only known by a few. I'd informed the boys about it, and they were cool

I wasn't surprised at the news from Kaelen. With Beckham by her side, I wasn't even expecting her to remain in custody for a whole day. Seven days is a new record."Really?!" Rhydian shot up in bed, "What if she tries to do something again?""We just have to be extra careful from now on," I said to him, and looked at the other two, "And where we go, and who we listen to. And even if she does succeed, I'll make sure I deal with her again," *Wow, she sounds so frightening,* Rhydian thought to himself. *One can only wonder why they hate each other so much.* That was Kaelen. "When we were younger, Seraphina and Isolde tried to take away everything from me." I said to them, "When my mother passed away, and my dad remarried, my stepmother brought her two daughters. At first I tried to get along with them, but soon realised that they were two-faced. Sweet and kind when my dad was around, and absolutely dick heads when he wasn't. They often used everything against me, especially my weight.

SEVEN DAYS LATER It's officially fifteen days left before the apocalypse. I was currently in Rhydian's room, sitting on the bed with my back against the headboard. He had his head on my legs, and he was constantly purring. It got louder every time I stroked his head. He'd woken up six days ago and had been on bed rest ever since. I was also on bed rest, but I couldn't help but come to see him, and his bed was big enough, so why not?! My back didn't sting as much anymore, and the wound was slowly healing. It didn't heal at first for the first few days, and Helena had come back to check on it. She'd told me it was mental. I didn't argue. She was right. I was physically withholding my wolf from healing me, and I welcomed the pain. Why? Because it's the least I deserved after glancing through Rhydian's memories. I was punishing myself. But Rhydian had assured me it was fine. We'd gotten closer over the last few days. He was free around me now, completely. If he wasn't, I don't thi

The ride back home was silent. I was sitting at the back while the other two faced me. Rhydian laid next to me, his head on my lap. His eyes were still closed. He hadn't stirred again, but his breathing had become a little even. I'd called Dr Helena and asked her to meet us at the mansion immediately to check up on him. Kevin stepped on the gas even more, and our car zoomed down the road. Draven and Kaelen's eyes were on me. I knew what they were thinking. They were worried about me too. My back was still bleeding a lot, and they were afraid I would pass out soon. I wouldn't. Till I made sure Rhydian was ok. We got back to the mansion, and Helena was already waiting. I sat down with them as she checked on Rhydian to make sure he was healing just fine again with the crystal back on him. "I've never heard of anyone who went feral and came back," She said as she finished checking up on him and looked at me. I started back expectantly. It better be good news. "But he's doing fine,"

The entire Black Arena had gone quiet. Everyone was staring at the crystal lying on the ground, and Seraphina looked as though she'd just seen her own grave.I bent down and picked it up, then I looked at her again, "Look what we have here. Didn't you say you didn't have it?""That doesn't prove anything!" She snapped."Really?" "Anyone could have put it there!""Anyone?" I repeated the word, looking around the arena, "So, someone randomly decided to sneak into my house, deliver a letter to my husband, lure him into the Southern Forest, arrange for three men to attack him and remove this crystal, then somehow get the crystal into your dress? Is that what you're telling us?""You're twisting everything! I don't know how that crystal got into my dress!""Then perhaps you can explain why our little friend over there says he handed it to you." I pointed at the staff again, and he immediately nodded painfully, clutching his wound. "Yes! I gave it to Miss Seraphina! I swear!""SHUT UP!" S

VESPERAKaelen returned faster than I expected. He came down the steps of the Black Arena with a man dragging behind him. The poor bastard looked like he'd rather be anywhere else. His face was pale, his hands trembling, and he kept glancing at the council as though he was hoping someone would save him. Well, that wasn't happening."Found him," Kaelen said, pushing him forward, "But I couldn't find the letter,"The staff stumbled and fell to his knees."He is enough," I said, looking down at him. "Now, let's find out why you decided to sneak around my husband's room."Beckham stepped forward immediately, "I'll handle the interrogation.""How thoughtful of you.""Vespera, this is a council matter. You will not—"I didn't wait for him to finish. The moment the staff tried to get back on his feet, I moved. My leg shot forward, sending him crashing onto his back. Before he could even scream, I planted my foot on his chest. My claws extended, pressing through his clothes and digging into h
