CHAPTER TWENTY - ONE

ACCEPTING PAIN, THE TRUTH HURTS

I stared at the ceiling drinking beer with the gun on my left hand. I slowly moved my head to my dresser. I stared at the few pictures which were still stuck on the mirror. My eyes shifted toward Jin’s one.

“I got him brother” I said as I pointed the gun at the mirror. “Now you can rest.”

 For some reason I felt like killing, killing everyone who had caused me pain. Suddenly I had a knock from the front door. I rapidly got up as I hid the gun under the pillow and the half-filled beer underneath the bed then limped out.

I opened the door half way with the chain lock on.

“Jack” I said in surprise.

“Your face” he said in shock. “What happened?”

“I fell” I lied as I opened the chain lock letting him inside.

“You fell?” he asked as he took a sit on the couch while turning on the television.
