INTRODUCTION

Maritime University of the Philippines (MUP) -  ang pinaka-popular na Maritme School sa bansa. Every year, MUP selects 200 cadets (100 from marine engineering at 100 from marine transportation)para sanayin at turuan na maging isang mahusay at magaling na seafarer.

Dadaan ang mga aspiring applicants sa tatlong test. Una written examination, pangalawa ang physical examination which consists of series of exercises at pangatlo ang interview. Based sa total scores ng mga applicants, mamimili ang school ng top 200.

Top 1 applicant will get a full scholarship with free board and lodging plus meal. Top 2 and 3 will get half saholarship with free board and lodging plus meal.

all 200 cadets na napili ay kailangang magstay sa MUP dormitory para ma-monitor at ma-guide sa kanilang pag-aaral. Sasailalim din sila sa semi-military training program.
