Tension and Control

It was extremely rare to find your mate in the Lore. For Ryder the world had gone silent except for the presence of his mate. Ever since Varana left, all he could hear was the feeble heartbeat of his mate. All he could see was her pale skin and even paler face. She was bruised at so many places that his stomach churned. Her scent was so strong that his guts were roiled. “Mine!” his wolf growled. Ryder felt that unbreakable bond with her. He would protect her with his life. The man had waited for so long and this was the epitome of his life. The need to rip her dress and see her all over again was making him tense as hell. But that wasn’t the main issue right now. He had sensed her as his mate and whether she sensed him or not, her fate was sealed. 

“She is just too exhausted,” said Varana after examining her. He touched her forehead and Ryder growled again.
