Our Luna

“Alpha Ryder,” Juan said with respect in his voice as he bowed to him. He gave a worrying look at Lyle. When they all settled, awkward silence hung in the air. 

Lyle looked at the woman who was sitting opposite to her and wondered if she even remembered her. But there was one thing she could feel—there was lightness in the air. The heaviness and gloom associated with the spells was gone. When last time she had seen the men and women around her, they all looked dull, morose and indifferent to their surroundings, but now she could feel and see the glint in their eyes. 

The woman spoke, “Good morning, Alpha.” 

Ryder gave a tight nod in response, as he clutched Lyle’s hand all the more tightly and put it his lap as if making a statement.
