Standing in front of a familiar place, Aimie’s conviction of living the life of the original Aimie faltered slowly. The once place she never thought she would get to see again was now before her. Aimie wanted to curse out whoever was playing with her conviction. The resoluteness she had of not seeing the parents Angelo had grown up with fell down the drain the instant she was standing right in front of the house that had the memories of the family she had missed so much.

As Aimie was standing right in front of the house, recollection of the past flashed through her.

Every time Angelo returned home, this house would greet him, and though his parents rarely returned home because of work, it didn’t feel like the abode was empty. The lingering warmth didn’t make him think that this house made him lonely, but why does this house who would always bring him comfort now feel as though it had become melancholic.
