“Wait, I think I know this person,” Angelo said in his mind. He immediately checked the man who suddenly entered his room. As Angelo tries to remember where on the island of the world he had seen the man. The man suddenly spoke.
“Are you alright?” asked the man, who was still catching his breath.
Angelo instantly frowned at the man’s question, “Bro, can’t you see that I’m in the hospital bed, and then you’re asking me if I’m alright. Most likely, I’m not alright, seriously-are people in here an idiot?”
“Yeah,” Angelo replied with restraint since he didn’t want to argue with the man because it’s just a waste of his saliva.
“Good to hear that.” The man said as he went to a nearby seat and sat down beside Angelo.
Angelo can’t help but look at the man with a sneer. He felt like they couldn’t get along since their energy forces seemed to be different.
The both of them were quiet, and neither of them had any plans to speak, and Angelo was very grateful for it. If ever the person who accompanied him in the room suddenly opens his mouth to speak. He’s sure that a fight might happen because of the difference in their brain waves.
A few more minutes passed, and Angelo couldn’t seem to endure the deafening silence. When another thirty minutes of silence enveloped them, Angelo didn’t have a choice but to break the silence between them.
“What’s your name, bro?” Angelo asked the man arrogantly.
But what Angelo doesn’t know is that in the man’s sight. He looks like a woman making cute actions towards him.
The man’s forehead furrowed. He can’t help but applaud Aimie’s action in front of him and find her indeed cute, but what he couldn’t figure out was why there was the word “bro” at the end of her question.
“Aimie, are you okay?” the man asked, unable to fully comprehend why Aimie would ask for his name if they already knew each other.
Angelo was shocked by what he heard, “When did his name become Aimie?” But before he could ask the man about this, it suddenly registered in his brain that the other person was referring to was “Aimie,” whose body he had entered.
“Sh*t, with so many people in the world that I could possess, why is it I’m stuck inside a woman’s body. What should I do?”
“I think I’m fine?” Angelo doesn’t know what to say to the man, “Oh, Angelo, think of a good excuse... ah, I know.”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t remember you. Are you perhaps the one who ran over me?” Angelo continued.
Angelo was sweating coldly. He prayed that the man would buy his excuse. While he was waiting for the man’s answer, the doctor suddenly came.
“Mr. Castro, you’re already here.” The doctor said as he held out the man’s hand.
Angelo’s mouth dropped at what the doctor said.
“He already sees the man in front of him, his still asking if ...” but before he could finish what he was thinking, his eyes suddenly widened.
“Wait, Mr. Castro ... his last name is Castro ... I can’t ...” He immediately dismissed the idea that entered his mind. “I ... it’s impossible for that to happen b ... maybe he’s the brother of Aimie’s husband?... He’s the brother, I guess?”
Angelo suddenly laughed, as if he was losing his mind. The man and the doctor then looked at Angelo with bewilderment.
“As I was saying, Mr. Castro. Mrs. Castro is experiencing post-traumatic amnesia due to her head hitting the pavement when the car bumps against her.” The doctor said while still staring at the woman because he thinks Mrs. Castro seems to have lost a few screws on her head.
Hearing what the doctor said, Mr. Castro just sighed. He now knows the reason why his wife suddenly could not remember him.
“Can her memories come back?” Mr. Castro asked the doctor.
“I’m not sure. Mrs. Castro’s amnesia can either be a temporary or permanent one.” The doctor answered Mr. Castro’s question while his attention was on Mrs. Castro’s examination results.
“It’s better if you don’t stress her out. Before I forget, we will need to go through a series of tests to find out if your wife is feeling any other discomfort.” The doctor continues.
“I won’t stress her out, and thank you very much, doctor.” Mr. Castro said to the doctor.
“I better go ahead since it looks like you need some quality time for each other.” The doctor said with a wink and quickly left the room.
Mr. Castor laughed silently because of the doctor’s humor.
“Mark Akkin Castro.” Mr. Castro suddenly said while staring at the woman in the hospital bed.
Because of what Mr. Castro said, Angelo suddenly came back to reality.
“Huh?” That was what Angelo could only say because of shock.
“Mark Akkin Castro ...” Mr. Castro repeated. “my name.”
“Ah ...” Angelo suddenly stopped what he would say, and suddenly his eyes widened. Mark suddenly becomes surprised by how the woman reacts to him because it’s as if she has seen a ghost.
“You!” Angelo was shocked by what he had just discovered.
“Why am I so unlucky. First, I had an accident, the second I became a woman..no, I mean I’m in a woman’s body, third I found out that the body I entered was already married. And the worst of all, I’m seeing; my rival again. Seriously, is there anything worse than this?”
Mark was surprised by Aimie’s behavior, “Is there a problem?” he asked worriedly.
“You are my problem.” Angelo quickly answered.
“What?!” Mark asked in surprise.
“F*ck, you are my problem because you’re my rival in everything. You took everything away from me. You even dared to take my girlfriend from me. If not for you, we wouldn’t even break up. Also, why am I always second to you. Who told you to be so perfect?” Angelo’s brain was in chaos when he learned of the man’s name.
“It’s nothing. I’m sorry about how I act just now.” Angelo patiently said. Even though he wanted to break his rival’s face, he had to hold back in the meantime because he still had questions that needed an answer. And he knew only Mark could answer it.
“Is there any pain from your arm?” Mark asked worriedly.
“No, are you perhaps, my husband’s brother?” Angelo asked as he secretly prayed that Mark was not Aimie’s wife.
Mark laughed at Aimie’s question. It occurred to him that the woman had truly lost all her memories.
“First of all, my younger brother is still too young for marriage, and my elder sister doesn’t swing on that way,” Mark said seriously.
Angelo couldn’t help but raise his eyebrow at what Mark had said just now.
“Then, what is my relationship to you?” Angelo asked calmly.
“Your spouse.”
It was a typical yet bustling day inside a particular supermarket; the reason for its overly busy day was all because the people were trying to benefit from the clearance sale held inside the establishment. While most people were having a fierce battle in buying the goods that had an enormous amount slashed from the original price, a single distinct person was trying to avoid the large crowds of people. That person is a woman who was distinctive among the crowds of people since she is the only woman wearing an overly large dress and sporting a swollen belly. As she lightly rubs her belly, the woman looks at the crowded people with envy before looking at her big stomach. The woman smiled when she felt a light kick in her stomach. She then turned her body in the crowd's opposite direction and tried to grab a box of cereals in the utmost section of the shelf. The woman tried to stand on her toes as she tried to reach the cereal, and when she could not get even a single bo
“I’m going to go back to my room,” Aimie tried to steady her breathing since she was flustered by Mark’s back hug. “You better leave now if you don’t want to stay on the road driving the whole night.” “I know you’re mad because of what I have told you during the party, and I don’t know what to do for your anger to vanish. Tell me what I should do for you to forgive me.” Angelo muttered as he leaned his face on the nook of Aimie’s neck. Aimie felt the breathing of Mark against her neck; goosebumps instantly appeared all over her body because of how close Mark was to her. For a moment, Aimie doesn’t know what to do with how things progress, it was just a few minutes ago when Mark was leisurely sitting on the couch with a haughty look on his face, but now he was trying to earn her forgiveness. This action of Mark made Aimie feel weird since, although she had grown used to Mark’s loving gestures, it was her first time to see him sincerely ask for forgiveness. Tho
Thinking about those things made Aimie unconsciously shed a tear. She felt that her life would be simple now than when she was still Angelo, but she didn’t expect to experience so much heartache in Aimie’s body.If she had the chance to see the original Aimie next time, she would be sure to ask for a reward from her since all that was given to her was grief when she had possessed the original Aimie’s body. She made a mental note to take all the money of the real Aimie, including her pocket money, to spend it lavishly for her around the world voyage after this whole ordeal is done. Her daydreaming came to a halt when Mark unexpectedly wiped the tears that accumulated from the corner of her eyes. Aimie winced and was about to back away from Mark when Mark had tightened her hold on her waist suddenly.“What do you think are you doing?” Aimie tried to create some distance away from Mark using all the force her body had, and as she did s
It was as if time had stopped between the adults that were inside the house. No one wanted to break the heavy atmosphere around them, as if they were all comfortable about their hefty feelings. But soon, the suffocating feeling vanished when a loud wail of the child that Aimie was holding was heard throughout the entire house of Rain. They simultaneously looked at the child in Aimie’s arms with a look that was a combination of curiousness, bewilderment, anxiousness, and peevishness. While the attention was still on the child, Aimie glanced at Angelus’s way; her gaze was full of pleading since she didn’t know what to do with the child in her arms. Before the child’s wail could escalate, Angelus had fortunately seen the look of help in Aimie’s eyes. Angelus quickly took his younger sister in Aimie’s arms and carried his younger sister with a bottle of milk in his other hand.“Do you perhaps have a spare room so that my you
The soft and white ball with a pair of chubby hands and feet hugged Angelus tightly, and because of the height difference between the soft as mochi child and Angelus, the lovely child could only hug Angelus’s leg.The child’s big pair of sparkling eyes, completed with plump reddish cheeks, would make anyone feel in love with the lovable child. Seeing the cute interaction between Angelus and the adorable child made Aimie feel jealous since she also wanted to pinch the child’s chubby cheeks. While Aimie was dying in enviousness, the child hugging the leg of Angelus suddenly looked at Aimie’s way, making Aimie flinch for a second before giving the child a friendly smile. Even if she wanted to hug the child but given her current situation, it seems Aimie couldn’t act friendly with the cute child since she is just a stranger.Unbeknownst to Aimie, she gave a facial expression, a; mixture of longing and sadness that the child couldn&rsquo
Standing in front of a familiar place, Aimie’s conviction of living the life of the original Aimie faltered slowly. The once place she never thought she would get to see again was now before her. Aimie wanted to curse out whoever was playing with her conviction. The resoluteness she had of not seeing the parents Angelo had grown up with fell down the drain the instant she was standing right in front of the house that had the memories of the family she had missed so much.As Aimie was standing right in front of the house, recollection of the past flashed through her.Every time Angelo returned home, this house would greet him, and though his parents rarely returned home because of work, it didn’t feel like the abode was empty. The lingering warmth didn’t make him think that this house made him lonely, but why does this house who would always bring him comfort now feel as though it had become melancholic.“Is it alright for me to be here?&r
