It was as if time had stopped between the adults that were inside the house. No one wanted to break the heavy atmosphere around them, as if they were all comfortable about their hefty feelings. But soon, the suffocating feeling vanished when a loud wail of the child that Aimie was holding was heard throughout the entire house of Rain.

They simultaneously looked at the child in Aimie’s arms with a look that was a combination of curiousness, bewilderment, anxiousness, and peevishness. While the attention was still on the child, Aimie glanced at Angelus’s way; her gaze was full of pleading since she didn’t know what to do with the child in her arms.
