4. The Fairy Godmother.

{Alessia}

As soon as she touched me with her scepter, I knew that I was safe and that I was home, I remembered her from when I was a baby, she was not yet queen then and she had been the one to tend to me.

She was not a servant and it was not a job that she was mandated to do, but she had loved me immediately I was born and she had dubbed herself my fairy godmother, and not that I would have disagreed, I loved her as well and she had been one of the first people I had bonded with as a baby.

She was also the one who enchanted the bracelet on my arm to keep me safe.

I did not know if her powers worked like that of Cinderella and her fairy godmother, but I was sure that if I ever was in trouble, she would help me.

"Welcome Sia, I've been expecting you for some time now." She said and went back to her seat.

Sia.

I guess that's her nickname for me, I had many nicknames, my mother mostly called me child, but her nickname for me was Lisa, Nana and my father called me Allie, the only time my full name was used was to reprimand me or anytime they were mad at me.

I felt sad thinking about my family, I had missed them so much especially Nana, I had missed her snacks, just kidding, I had missed her company as well, she was the person I was closest to in the pack.

My father as Alpha had a lot of work to do, my mother the Luna Witch also had her share of work cut out for her, but Nana was always free and we spent most of the day together.

After my lessons, she would bake me cookies and bring me a glass of milk. If I didn't have Wolf and Witch DNA, I would have been very fat because of how well she fed me and how many snacks I ate.

"Thank you, godmother." I smiled and bowed when she took her seat.

When she was done addressing me, I went to stand by Cole, there was a deliberation of a kind to be done, I guess the fact that she was queen and my godmother did not make it okay for her to take me in out of the blue, especially when the Fairies were aware of the danger that followed me.

"You look nice," I commented and nudged him playfully with my elbow.

"Yeah." He smiled and his cheeks hollowed. "You think so?" He asked and then his eyes darted over to Ophelia.

Their eyes met, Ophelia blushed and looked away immediately.

Well, well, the Fairy and the Hybrid are definitely smitten with each other.

"Of course." I smiled at my little discovery.

Maybe my time here won't be so boring after all, who knows it might be colored by the forbidden and hot romance between a Fairy princess and an abomination, a Hybrid.

Okay, I need to clear my head, those thoughts should not even be there right now, but I couldn't help but picture them together, they would be so cute and their children even cuter.

Oh boy, my thoughts do go over the edge sometimes.

"Thanks." He replied and then he cast me a side glance. "You look amazing too, I think I'm gonna like it here." He said.

"Yeah, me too," I answered.

"How exactly is the queen your Fairy godmother, you never told me that." He questioned.

"I didn't know, I kind of remembered when I first met her as a baby when she touched me with the scepter, I really loved her very much, she was second to my parents for me then," I explained.

We were not concentrating on the delegation that was going on, but a loud disagreement drew our attention.

"We can't have two abominations living under our roof, the girl can stay because we all know her and we've loved her since she was a child and we know her parents, but the boy has to go." A male Fairy yelled.

"Control your temper Hephaestus." Another Fairy countered. "You are in the presence of the queen."

"I apologize, your highness." His voice lowered and he bowed his head low. "I'm just trying to keep us out of danger, out of the war like we have been for all these years."

"Thank you for your words of concern Hephaestus." The queen spoke, her voice was silvery and she was soft-spoken.

Her voice sounded even lovelier than Ophelia's voice.

"But we cannot turn one aside and stop calling them abominations, you know how I feel about that word, we are also abominations to the humans, or did you forget that?" Her voice turned high-pitched in an instant and I felt like covering my ears.

She was mad mad.

She did have a point though, Cole and I weren't abominations, it hurt a bit when the Fairy referred to us as that, we were just new creatures that no one yet understood.

"I am sorry your majesty." The Fairy apologized and moved back in fear.

My godmother's eyes had already turned completely white and the scepter in her hair was glowing.

I didn't know that it could do that.

"Mother, calm yourself please," Ophelia spoke in a low voice and I barely heard her, she touched her mother's arm softly and I watched her eyes revert back to their normal combination of pink and blue.

"Does anyone else have anything to say?" She asked, her voice still high-pitched.

The Fairies murmured amongst themselves but nobody dared to come forward.

"Then it's settled, they both stay for as long as they need to, and I don't have to tell you all not to refer to them as abominations or any other cuss words, as long as they're here, they are our fellow Fairies and they would be treated like one." She decreed, as soon as she finished talking, a Fairy flew up and sounded a horn.

"Dismissed." The Fairy yelled and the courtroom began to empty.

"I'm sorry you had to see that," The queen apologized when we were almost alone in the courtroom. "I'm not always like that, I just can't stand that word." She said and moved closer to the both of us.

"You're not abominations, you're unique creatures and you are special." She smiled and I couldn't resist hugging her.

All the Fairies were around the same height as Ophelia, my godmother was also the same.

The major difference between her and the other fairies was the length of her wings, they were larger than anyone I had seen amongst the Fairies and they looked stronger too, they were also not transparent, they were rainbow colored and they were really beautiful.

"Thank you for letting us stay here, godmother." I thanked her.

"Nonsense." She refused my gratitude. "You don't have to thank me." She said. "I'm not doing you any favor, I'm doing what I would for my family and you are my family."

I smiled as I heard her speak, she was the nicest person I had ever met, besides Ophelia, but now I know where Ophelia got her kindness from.

"Let's get you settled in." She said and clapped her hand twice.

I begged her to let me share a room with Ophelia and she agreed, Ophelia had become a dear friend of mine in such short hours of getting to know her, and I did not want to be so far away from her.

Cole was escorted to his quarters by a male Sprite and I watched his eyes linger on Ophelia before he left.

It was a nice first day, after the deliberation, Ophelia showed me around and we had a swell time together.

I was even already thinking about nicknames for her.

She was like the sister I never had.

When night time came, I noticed that Fairies sleep in flowers but since I couldn't fit in one and I couldn't possibly fly up to one, I slept in the bed of leaves that I had woken from.

It was soft and it was very comfortable to sleep in.

"Goodnight." She said and sprayed a kind of dust on me from her flower pod.

The dust smelt nice and soon I was yawning, it must have been a sleeping dust because my eyes closed immediately.

Just before I fell asleep, my mind wandered to my family and I hoped that they were well.

I had never been a frequent visitor to the land of dreams, but this night, I found myself there.

Maybe it was a dream dust.

The dream was not pleasant though, it was the opposite of what I had imagined that I would dream about.

There was war, bloodshed, death, and mourning, there was a sea of bodies and I stood in the middle of them all, alongside four men, but I couldn't see their faces clearly.
