“Rachael", Mrs McQueen mumbles as she watch her daughter leave the house in anguish. The twins share a gaze before they return their eyes to the sad mother. Mrs McQueen never wanted her daughter to be involved in her father’s world after all it almost ended her life once. Gabriel and Mrs McQueen are at Oyster Bay, New York, waiting for the arrival of Rachael and Samuel. “I hope they are alright” Mrs McQueen says as she chews at the tip of her thump. “Don’t worry, Mary. Nothing will happen to her as long as my brother is there, he is someone to be feared”, Gabriel says with confidence. The wind beat against the windshield as the speedometer just goes over 120km/ph. “Shit” Mrs McQueen and Samuel see the jeep ram into the Porsche and tumble it.Crashing it to the side of the road.All of the anger in Mrs McQueen tells her to ram her car into the jeep and Samuel sees this as he takes a look at her.“Divert into a corner so we aren’t seen” Samuel says, “It would be smart to follow after”.She slows down the car and diverts to the left junction obediently like she is being controlled.That was close. If I didn’t do this she would have gotten us in trouble.Samuel directs her to another street and somehow finds a way to have her park a few blocks away where the accident is still visible to him. Three more Jeeps join the scene and Samuel sees men in black suits raise badges and disrupt the few vehicles on the road.They create a perimeter round the cars involved and pull out Rachael. “Get her out of here” Gabriel shouts. Samuel continues his majestic walk towards Rachael who just stares in fear.Sweat drips down her face and her lips vibrate as she shivers with a pounding heart.Alex attempts to charge but he quickly raises the gun and shoots her in the chest until she drops.Samuel helps Rachael up and points the gun towards Dracula and his goons in the room. He edges Rachael towards a door and leaves.They are on a balcony outside; Samuel turns the gun, leaving it and letting it’s weight rest on his shoulder as it’s strap hangs onto him.He lifts Rachael up and carries her in his arms and he jumps off the balcony.Rachael screams. Samuel lands on his feet like a weightless matter and he lets Rachael down on her feet. Baltimore, Maryland. NY. John and Mary, Mrs McQueen, arrive at Maryland where the map leads. They are heading towards Winans Meadow. If this is where the dagger is then there is hope for them to destroy the enemy. John drives past Leon Day Park. The blond vampire admires the environment as the sun’s light dims. He glances at Mrs McQueen with the side of his eyes, her eyes are closed and her breathing is moderate. She seems to be asleep but John knows better, he has known Mary for years and she never sleeps around anything not human. “Your husband picked a lovely place to hide a magical killing weapon,” John says. “What is that supposed to mean?” she asks, her stare piercing through John like a million daggers. “I thought you were asleep”, “You know I’m not. Rachael fidgets with her hands and plays with her silver ring, she is nervous as she stares down at her feet and can’t help but wonder what will happen now. She sits at a wooden counter, where Cassandra comes along, “Here”, Cassandra hands her a glass of water. “Thank you” Rachael accepts the glass and glances at Cassandra as she notices the she-wolf staring at her. “What is it?” Rachael asks as she feels uncomfortable. Cassandra moves closer to Rachael and tries to touch her hair but the smaller woman swiftly slaps her hand away. This woman clearly knows nothing about personal space. “Nothing, I just want to feel your hair. It looks good” Cassandra says, “Okay, that sounds creepy”, Cassandra chuckles, “You seem to have some fire in you. John gasps for breath as his body is jolted to life, he finds himself at the backseat of a car with two men in front. One of the men turns around to look at John who is shaken up. Of course, he has to be since he thought he was going to meet his family on the other side if he was lucky. But here he is, alive and awake. His mouth his dry and his belly churn as the image of his dead family flashes before him. His emotions gradually take over his rationality like a man on hard drugs and he begins to scream and cry as he punches the hood of the car. “Gabriel,” Samuel calls his brother who is driving, “Calm him down”, Gabriel says. “Silence”, Samuel shouts in a deep voice and like a scared little child John moves to one end of the backseat and wraps his hands around himself.
