It was the middle of the night and still Marcus couldn't find his sleep,the air-conditioning was faulty and it was summer which brought an intense amount of heat especially in his room—but that was only part the reason why he couldn't sleep,the kiss he shared with Elizabeth completed it.He groaned incessantly as he tried to catch even though it was a little bit of sleep,he just couldn't and the sound he heard coming from the kitchen didn't make it easier.

There was a dead man found on his ranch and he wasn't taking any chances,so he grabbed his rifle which once belonged to his father from under the bed,checked for bullets and then beaded down the stairs slowly.The creaking boards didn't help matters and he wondered why the thief didn't notice until he got to the kitchen and turned on the lights—it wasn't a thief—It was his dear wife eating an ice crea
