Zack walked around with shock and horror in his heart as he discovered the truth. No wonder no one was telling him the truth. His father, the vampire king, had killed her parents and was now after her life.
After his mother died, Zack imprisoned himself inside his room and didn’t come out for years. He did not know that his father had abused his powers and slaughtered an entire kind. He was only told that they died from a plague.
He never thought that his father could be so ruthless. He wanted to confront his father, but he was scared that Lillian would be in danger if he found out that she was the hybrid he was looking for.
His legs felt weak, and he fell to his knees. He hid his face in his hands.
‘What should I do?’ he thought, feeling broken and lost.
