Chapter 19: ‘A Wench Mad After Money’

Ellena found that Paul was not looking at her. Perhaps, he hadn’t seen her standing close to ‘Nicklaus’. That was good, she was safe for at least now.

She needed to think of a way to get rid of this man. So she slipped into the kitchen silently.

Seeing she entered into the kitchen, Edward sat down on the sofa. He had a small smile of victory on his face. It was obvious that he didn’t have any mood to talk with his assistant.

So Paul left.

Even if he had worked for the man for many years, he had no idea what his boss was thinking. So it was better to leave it as it was.

In the kitchen, Ellena opened the fridge and found fresh vegetables and meat. Not thinking too much, she grabbed some meat and vegetables. But what the heck she was gonna to make for him?  

Just as she was about to chop the vegetables, something flashed in her mind. Didn’t Nicklaus make breakfast the first day she arrived here? But there were not any maids
