As soon as the two sisters faced each other, the atmosphere in the room had dropped a couple of degrees.

Naomi placed her bag on the table and raised her chin and spoke arrogantly to Ellena, “Just say what you want to say. I can’t waste time with you. I have a date with Daniel.”

She looked at her newly manicured fingers which reflected under the lights as she spoke.

She then looked at Ellena. While she was dressed for the gala, her sister was dressed for the barn. It had been so many years, but her ugliness didn’t faded. This woman always looked same, the long dress, unhealthy and spotty skin, coupled with her thick-framed black glasses, ugly as a toad.

Such a woman wanted to compete with her for a man?
