Chapter 23

"Aaron Harrington, I've been waiting for you."

My brows arched upwards as I stared dumbfounded at the skeleton.

"H-how-- how do you know my name?" I dared to ask.

"I've known you ever since you were born. Son of Lycan Barron." His voice came out in a deep baritone that only managed to ground fear in my heart.

"No-- no, I must be seeing things. I must be!" I slapped my cheeks repeatedly hoping I would break free from this terrible illusion but nothing happened.

"You'll only be hurting yourself more. You know it yourself, ever since you came into my land you've felt my presence." He said and I stopped with my eyes twitching at it.

"Get out of my head." I gritted. The Skeleton laughed. "Get out!" I yelled and it growled. My breaths ceased immediately, somehow I knew if I said something wrong again, I was going to get punished. Yet my brain wouldn't stop racking up so many questions.

"Who are you?" My curiosity peaked so much that my lips moved on their own. "How do you know me?"
