Chapter 28

Archer slept throughout the visit hours.

Mr. Jonathan didn't get the chance to speak to his son when he entered the room, for he was already fast asleep. At the end of the visit, he and Paris said their goodbyes. Paris kissed Archer on her forehead before she leaves. Her kiss was not a part of her and Archer pretending to be a happily married couple. She was just happy that he fought to keep alive in the surgery and that he was going to be fine now.

Mr. Jonathan carried her back to the hotel and they both said their goodbyes. Paris took off her coat and placed it on the hanger. As she did she paused and looked around the suite sullenly, she and her fiance used to share. Her head lowered to her finger staring at the wedding ring he had given her. Her fingers ran over it. She began to cry.
