Chapter 6: The Interview

{LOVELYN'S POV}

The cab came to a halt in front of in front of MOND'S TECH company, and I paid the cab driver before alighting the vehicle.

I stared at the huge building in front of me and I couldn't help it to marvel at the beauty and size. It was gigantic in size.

I started walking towards the entrance which was guarded by two security ma'am.

I greeted them and they opened the door for me, then I stepped inside. I went to the reception where I met a female receptionist.

"Good morning, ma'am." I greeted with a smile.

"Morning. How can I help you?" She asked.

"I am here for the interview." I replied.

"Go the fifth floor." She said.

"Thanks." I smiled at her before rushing off to find the elevator. I located the elevator easily and I stepped in.

I pushed the fifth floor's button and the elevator closed, then it started riding me up to the fifth floor.

The elevator came to a stop when it finally got to the fifth floor, and I stepped out.

"Shit!!" My eyes went wide when I saw the number of people who came for the interview.

A lady walked briskly to me smiled at me.

"Good morning, ma'am." She greeted me.

"Morning." I replied with a smile.

"Are you here for the interview?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Here's your tag number." She handed me a tag which had the number "35" on it. "When the number on your tag is being called, then you'll go inside that office for the interview." She explained and I nodded.

"Thanks." I said.

"You're welcome." She replie, and walked away.

The interview started and the tag numbers were being called. I looked for a seat and I found an empty seat beside a guy who also came for the interview.

I was about to sit when he dragged the iron bench backwards, making me Ianded heavily on my butt.

"Ow!!!" I winced in pain and the others started laughing at me, including the guy.

"Your mother must be regretting giving birth to you. I mean look at your face, you look ugly." the guy said and the others laughed again.

Some were already taking pictures while others were making videos.

Anger ran through my veins and I glared at the guy who was still laughing. I stood up from the ground and moved closer to him, making him shift backwards on the bench.

Before he could blink his eyes, I swiftly grabbed him by his collar and flipped him backwards.

Gbam!!!!

He landed heavily on the ground, and everyone gasped.

I smirked and moved closer to the guy who was groaning in pains on the ground, then I crouched to his level.

"You call me ugly, but look at you. You are nothing but a coward. I'm sure your mother is regretting the day she gave birth to a coward like you. You're nothing but a aid angrily and I stood up.

A lady came out of the office and widened her eyes when she saw the guy laying on the ground while groaning in pain.

"What happened here?" She asked, glancing at everyone.

"He messed with the wrong lady so I taught him a quick lesson." I replied from where I sat, and the lady glanced at me, then she smiled before walking towards me.

"You mean you did that to him?" She pointed at the guy on the ground, and I nodded.

"Wow!" She exclaimed in a low voice. "That's unbelievable."

"Next time, he won't try shit with any other woman." I said, glaring at the guy.

"By the way, my name's Maya. What's yours?" The lady asked.

"Lovelyn." I simply replied.

"Nice to meet you, Lovelyn. See you later." The lady whose name was Maya said and walked back inside the office where the interview was ongoing.

The others were just looking at me like I was some kind of expensive artwork in a museum.

"What?!" I shot them a deadly glare and they took their gazes off me.

My number was finally called after thirty minutes, and I rose up to my feet before proceeding inside the office.

A "wow" escaped my lips when I stepped inside the office. It was large and beautifully decorated with expensive furniture and office items.

"Is this really an office?" I asked myself as I kept staring around in awe.

There were three people sitting behind a large black polished desk: Two young men and a lady.

The lady's head was lowered and she was focused on the phone she was pressing so I couldn't see her face properly.

The two men were so handsome especially the one sitting in the middle.

He was the most impressive male I've ever seen: slim, but powerfully-built, with his curly ginger swept-back hair, his long face, an eagle-like nose and dark penetrating hawk eyes.

He had a cold look on his face but he still looked handsome.

I took my gaze off him and glanced at the lady who was sitting at his left hand side. she raised her head and my eyes went wide when I saw the lady was the same lady I met a few minutes ago outside this office.

What's that her name again? Yes, Maya. Her name is Maya.

"Hi Lovelyn!" she smiled and waved at me.

{MICHAEL'S POV}

I looked at lady who came in next for the interview. She was staring around the office. She glanced at James then at me. Then she glanced at Maya and she looked surprised to see Maya.

"Hi Lovelyn!" Maya's waved at the lady.

'Do they know each other before?' I thought to myself without taking my gaze of the lady.

"Have a seat." James pointed the leather chair in front oor desk.

The lady sat down and she brought out her documents. She handed them over to me and I went through the documents.

I must admit, she's really intelligent. Her academic performance was outstanding and she had all the qualifications needed for the position of a secretary.

"We will get back to you very soon." I said as I handed her documents back of her.

"Thank you." she replied with a smile and she rose up to her feet.

"Bye Lovelyn!" Maya waved at her.

"Bye Maya!" She waved back before walking towards the door.

I stared at her backside as she walked towards the door and I instantly choked on my saliva.

James immediately poured water inside a glass cup and handed it over to me.

I gulped down the whole water in the glass and I breathed in relief.

Damn!! That lady's backside is out of this world. And she's fucking curvy.

God! What am I even thinking?

"Why did you choke, Michael?" Maya asked me.

"Nothing." I simply replied.

"Guys watch this." James said, showing us a video on his phone. The video was trending on the internet. It was the video of the lady who just interviewed, and she was exchanging words with a guy.

"Wow!!!!" James and Maya exclaimed at the same time as we watched as the lady smashed a guy on the ground.

"James, send an email to that lady named Lovelyn. Tell her that she's hired." Maya said.

"That lady won't be my secretary!!!" I almost screamed and they both averted their gazes to me.

"And why do you say so?" Maya asked. "Lovelyn is qualified for the position so I see no reason why she shouldn't be your secretary."

"You just watched a video of how she smashed a guy on the ground. Do you want her to kill me in my office?" I asked.

"Michael, there's something called boundary. That lady won't kill you as long as you don't cross your boundary." James replied and I glared at him.

"The interview is over." Maya said into the intercom, and she walked out of the office with James.

"I hope this secretary won't kill me." I muttered before walking out the office.
