Chapter fifteen

Roy wakes up with a ringing in his head in a very quiet place. The light in the room is muted and aside from the pain in his head, he is comfortable and warm, in this bed.

For a moment, Roy lays back and takes in the tranquility and serenity, enjoying the strange unfamiliar environment.

He has no idea where he is. The bedhead behind him is in the form of a massive claw. The room is large and airy and furnished in gold and beige.

His muddled brain struggles through its visual memories to ascertain where he was but comes up with nothing.

Who brought him here? How did he get here?

Fissured memories of the previous night slowly come back to the surface of his mind. The drinking… God, no, the drinking that led to the phone call, ugh, the phone call, and then the vomiting. God, no, the vomiting.

Angelo and then Bryan Anderson. The thought makes him wince inwardly. He doesn’t truly remember coming here, wherever this place is.
