Chemo??

His immediate response to my text made me feel tingly. The little act made me feel important. I was about to read the message when the doctor's office door came open and the people in it came out. What were my parents doing here? How did they get here before me? "What are you guys doing here?" I blurted my question. My parents caught my gaze and ignored me.

"Miss Mei," the doctor called my name and invited me into his office. I put my phone in my bag and walked into the office. The doctor pointed at a seat but remained by the door. "Why are my parents here?" I asked him curiously. I was more concerned about my parent's presence than where he wanted to stand. "They are here for an appointment with you," he said and my parents walked in.

I was not going to admit that I wanted them here but I was so happy they were here. I was starting to contemplate my decision of telling them not to tag along but my intrusive parents just had to tag along anyway. I didn't complain about their presenc
