I didn’t know what the hell I was thinking when I told her she could stay.

When I said yes — that there was a spare room in my apartment, that she could move in until the mix-up with her lease got sorted — I thought it was harmless. Just being decent.

I didn’t expect it to feel like this.

I’d been trying to stay clean.

To bury the man I used to be — the one who lived too wild, too fast, too dirty. I promised myself that part of me was gone. That I wouldn’t go back to that life again.

But the second she walked through that door, everything I’d buried started clawing its way out.

The cravings.

The hunger.

The raw, ugly need.

She stood there in the doorway — soaked from the rain.

Her shorts clung to her thighs, wet fabric molded to her skin like a second layer. That tiny crop top she wore was damp too, sticking to her body so tightly that I could see the soft outline of her breasts… the roundness, the curve, the way her nipples pressed through the thin co
