CHAPTER 4

He held my hands and then pulled me into his arms. His warm arms and muscles brought me a different kind of feeling, a feeling of safety or more that I couldn't decipher.

" Alpha Zeev, Interrupted Alpha Loki, that's my slave, " he said, pulling apart with his Sturdy hands. " Let her be, she's my slave, he growled, tugging my hands."

" Not anymore Loki, she's mine, " he spoke, yanking Alpha Loki's hands off me strongly.

" She's my mate and she's to head to my pack with me as my Luna, Alpha Zeev said, emphasising his words.

" What a surprising twist I'd say, the most ruthless Alpha seated here today is taking you Fenrir, a spineless wolf as his mate, you're not even a shifter are you, Alpha Loki jested.

" And on whose orders will she leave, she's mine, Zeev, take your hands off her, Alpha Loki glowered back at Alpha Zeev.

" You don't want to see whose orders she wants to follow, Loki, get off from my sight" Alpha Zeev snarled.

" You're going to have a much worse life being his luna than being my slave princess, your choice me or him," Alpha Loki asked proudly.

His sturdy arms around me made my erratic breathing calm, and the look in the eyes of the alphas seated was vivid enough to tell me that alpha Zeev was a burning inferno, but I felt safe with him.

I slowly held my hands back to Alpha Zeev's hand, standing behind him, I felt like I was being shielded from this world's cruelty.

" I'll be with Alpha Zeev," I said meekly behind the figure.

" Fenrir, I see you want to waste that useless life of yours, going with the devil" Alpha Loki growled. "My lady," Kayla called from a distance, her tearful eyes said it all, but I was adamant, I Felt at home with Alpha Zeev, security I'd not felt before.

" I stand firm in my decision, I'll choose to burn with this devil if that's what it takes to be away from you, I'd gladly give my life to be with this monster Loki", I said, gasping with each breath I took.

   Alpha Zeev's POV

I looked back at the figure behind me and held her hand. " Are you ready yet?" I asked."

There was a slight tremble in my mate's voice, my Luna, I muttered again, not Minding the flush of heat that roared through me as she replied. " Not yet Alpha Zeev, I still have someone to take with me," she answered walking away from me.

" Let's leave Kayla," she said walking closer to the maid standing weakly by a pillar.

I scrunch my eyebrows, I'd not gotten to hold her in my arms and this maid was hugging tightly. " I thought I'd be doomed here my Lady," the maid spoke sniffing.

" Let's leave Kayla, " she held the maid's hands, and together they walked towards me, her pretty pale blue eyes shimmered from a distance, though they had gotten red from the stream of years she had cried, her long hair flowed rhythmically with every step she took.

I rubbed my hands around my stubble, feeling the embarrassing heat flushing through my face. My heart thumped violently Against its ribcage, I'd waited for this moment for years and the mate bond happened when my Luna was being kicked to my feet.

Her face was scrunched in pain from the distance, with streaks of blood from her waist. " Fenrir," I called softly, walking closer to her, just in time for her to fall into my arms.

" My lady, the maid screamed, you'll be fine my Lady, " she stuttered. " Be quiet and lead the way, " I said impatiently, carrying my Luna in my hand, I turned back to the crowd. " You'll pay for the pains you've caused her, in folds of what you cannot imagine," I swore and turned to leave.

" Haha, and tell me Zeev, what are you going to do with a wolf that cannot shift?" the taunting voice of the queen rang through the ball.

" You're the mightiest Alpha and everyone who's here knows that your immeasurable strength cannot be compared to none, I've my daughter, a princess who is Worthy of being your Luna, good enough to be by your side as a queen, she continued to talk angering me to the depths of my soul.

The woman in my hands, unconscious, was making me lose my sanity bit by bit, I stepped inches back, my brows forming a frown. The air was no longer enough to suffice my breathing, I needed her to be awake, the beautiful woman, her lengthy hair pulled behind her back and the messy braids on her sticky pale face, her lifeless face went an indescribable feeling of fear inside me.

I gave no reply to her words and headed outside to my carriage. " Call a physician from nearby right now, " I growled to the guards by the carriage.

I looked back at the unconscious figure in my hands, brushing the strands of hair that stuck in her face away, I took her hands in mine, squeezing them worriedly.

" You're fucking beautiful" , I muttered to myself, touching her hard-muscled but lucent skin.

The quicked footsteps of the guards and a physician behind brought me back to reality.  "Alpha Zeev," the old physician trotted behind me.

" You should lay her flat on her back, she is very stressed and seems to have been worn out by series of traumas." My fist folded into a ball hearing his words.

" Alpha Zeev," her maid's tiny voice motioned for me to do as Said.

" Open the carriage windows, settle it on a flat surface, and make sure no movement is made", I ordered.

I put her down and wrapped my hands around her, her soft breaths rose slowly and I felt her body stiffen for a moment before she accepted my touch. Her eyelids batted as she opened her eyes slowly.

" My lady, you're awake," the maid's voice rang from behind. I held my fingers up rubbing in soothing circles.

"No one has ever been that kind to me," she said softly with a tiny trailing off on her words.
