Chapter Forty-Seven

Once the coffee stopped dripping into the cup, I pulled the cup out and sat it on the counter. I placed a new mug in its spot and pressed the button.

While the next cup was brewing, I went over to the fridge and grabbed the bottle of creamer. Pouring it into my coffee before I placed it back in the fridge and closed the door. Next, I moved over to the silver canisters at the back of the counter. Grabbing the one that had sugar in it, I added a spoonful before pushing it back into place.

I moved over to the barstools that sat at the counter and climbed up onto it. Sitting down so that I could enjoy my coffee while Spencer finished up in the shower. I sipped my coffee, letting it warm me up.

As I sat there, lost in my thoughts, I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me from behind, pulling me close. I leaned back into Spencer’s embrace, feeling his warmth and scent engulf me. He nuzzled my neck, and I tilted my head to give him better access.
