Meanwhile, at the Harrison Estate, the quiet stillness in Anna’s small apartment was worlds away from the storm raging inside the mansion’s towering, ice‑cold walls.

Zayne Harrison’s voice thundered through the grand study, sharp enough to make even the polished windows tremble.

“What do you mean by that, woman?” he barked into the phone. His tone was so fierce the woman on the other end actually pulled the phone away from her ear before responding.

“You dare not yell at me, son,” his mother thundered back. Her voice was equally powerful—cold authority wrapped in years of experience. “How dare you assign a bodyguard for me without my knowledge?”

“Huh?” Zayne snapped, pacing like a caged beast. “Do I look like a joke or a weakling to you?”

The anger rolling off him felt electric—alive—like standing too close to a storm about to strike. Zayne wasn’t the type to simply be angry. He became the anger. A force. A threat. A hurricane in human form. And anyone unlucky enough to get caught in its path often regretted it.

“Listen, son. She’s very good at her job,” his mother continued, infuriatingly calm in the face of his erupting fury.

“What? You hired a lady as my bodyguard?”

Whoa, that’s insane!” Zayn’s twin brother muttered as he descended the staircase, eyebrows raised.

Zayne turned his head slowly, eyes razor‑sharp. The glare alone was enough to silence a battalion.

Caleb froze. Then, lifting both hands in surrender, he backed away. “Never mind. Carry on.” He retreated before he became the next target of Zayne’s storm.

“I hope I don’t see her in this house,” Zayne roared, “because I’ll cut her head off!”

“If you can do that, I’ll let you,” his mother replied coolly. “She’s ex‑military.”

Her voice held no fear—only certainty. The servants nearby stiffened at her words. Ex‑military? A woman? Inside *this* estate?

Zane scoffed, leaning against the massive mahogany desk, the wood creaking under the tension in his arms.

“Mom, you know I hate anything to do with a woman. They’re all the same.”

“And what about the one from six years ago?” she asked softly, but the question struck like a match to gasoline.

Zane’s jaw tightened. His eyes flickered—just for a split second—with something darker, something deeper. Memory. Regret. Contempt.

“She’s not different,” he muttered coldly. “If she were, she wouldn’t have run away that day.”

His mother exhaled slowly, but she didn’t relent. “You need a bodyguard. Someone with you twenty‑four-seven. Your life is always in danger. You’re the CEO of the Harrison Group, and there are too many people trying to bring you down. You refuse all bodyguards. She’s perfect at what she does, and I trust her.”

Zane’s expression shifted—a tiny flicker beneath all that steel. “What if she refuses the job?”

“She has accepted it,” his mother replied. “Whatever would make her refuse the job would be you .”

The words hung in the air like a warning.

Zane disconnected the call with a single swipe, the force of it echoing through the room. His jaw was rigid, his brows drawn low. He scanned the room slowly—like a predator assessing what could be broken next.

The male servants bowed quickly, eyes lowered. No one breathed too loudly. Everyone knew the stories—how two years ago a young woman came to apply as a cook, only to flee the estate in tears after his ruthless words.

From that day on, no woman set foot in the Harrison Estate.

Not unless they wanted to risk his wrath.

Not unless they wanted their spirit crushed beneath his heel.

“Bunch of fools,” he muttered, his voice low and icy, sending another ripple of fear through the room.

Outside the Estate

I stood before the sprawling Harrison Estate, my luggage in hand, staring up at the gates that looked like they were designed to keep out armies—not people. The mansion beyond stood tall, beautiful, overwhelming… a palace carved out of wealth.

But beneath all that beauty was something colder. A silent warning. A breathless kind of quiet that seeped into your bones.

Getting here hadn’t been easy. Even the cab driver hesitated when I told him the address.

“Are you sure?” he had asked, eyes wide. “Nobody normal goes there.”

I had to offer him more money—a week’s worth—just to get him to drive all the way. Even then, he spent the ride telling me stories about a woman he once dropped off at the estate. She ran out crying. Terrified. Shaking.

The closer we got, the quieter he became.

And now, standing here with my suitcase heavy in my hands, I understood why.

Every instinct inside me screamed to turn back. To run.

But I couldn’t.

I tightened my grip on the handle. Jasmine. My baby. My entire world. She needed this job. And I needed the money. I needed stability. Needed the protection my daughter deserved.

The massive iron gates rose before me, towering like a boundary between two worlds. Beyond them, the estate’s manicured gardens stretched out perfectly—too perfect. Like nothing real ever touched them.

I took a breath. Then another.

This wasn’t just a job. It was a battlefield.

Everything I learned in the military… every scar… every sleepless night… every sacrifice…

It all led to this moment.

I straightened my shoulders.

“ Who are you talking to?” I asked again. The words came out sharper than I intended, partly from suspicion, partly from something I didn’t understand—an emotion I didn’t want to name. She froze instantly.Absolutely still. As if I had caught her stealing the crown jewels from a museum. Her entire body went rigid, and her eyes widened, almost guilty… almost terrified. The shock on her face wasn’t mild—it was the kind that sucker-punched me right in the gut. That expression alone told me more than any spoken explanation. She was hiding something. And not something small. Her breath hitched as she opened her mouth as if to speak, to explain, to lie— I couldn’t tell which. I studied every twitch of her face, the slight panic in her eyes. She looked cornered, like she had been caught doing something she desperately didn’t want me to know about. Before she could get a word out—A loud, dramatic voice echoed from behind me.“**Zayne!**”I stiffened.Of course.Caleb.My twin brother. He wal

  • A Bodyguard For The Misogynist    Who Are You Talking To

The morning had already been grating, and I could feel the day grinding against my nerves like sandpaper. Meetings droned on, schedules were meticulously repeated, and the air seemed thicker than usual. The office, pristine as ever, felt suffocating. Even the hum of the air conditioning and the distant clatter of keyboards grated against me. I had tasks to complete, documents to read, and yet, the day dragged, as if the universe itself were testing my patience.I was leaning over my desk, reviewing some of the investigation files my assistant had prepared for me, when the quiet of the office was broken. The door opened, and a young woman I had never seen before stepped inside, holding a tray with a cup of coffee. She moved carefully, almost timidly, but there was an awkward tension in her posture, as if she already sensed my temper before she had even encountered it.Before I could even extend a hand, she stumbled. The cup tipped. Coffee cascaded across my desk in a dark, scalding st

The morning sun filtered softly through the curtains, brushing my face with warmth as I slowly woke. My muscles ached slightly from the previous day’s tension at the Harrison Estate, but there was no time to linger in bed. Jasmine’s wellbeing, the mounting bills, the looming pressure of loan sharks—all of it pressed on me with unrelenting force. Today had to be perfect, or at least as close to perfect as I could manage.I swung my legs off the bed and took a steadying breath. Today, I would be Anna, the professional bodyguard, competent, strong, unshakable. No trace of my past, no sign of weakness. Today, my identity, my daughter, and the desperate life I was fighting to protect depended on my ability to perform flawlessly.I quickly dressed in my corporate attire, carefully choosing my best suit—the one I had purchased with my last savings. Every stitch and fold represented the tiny investments I had made in myself, a statement of professionalism and determination. I tugged the jacke

Dragging my luggage across the marble driveway, I felt my chest tighten with every step. The massive iron gates of the Harrison Estate loomed ahead, their black iron interlaced with gold accents that gleamed under the sun. Even the air here seemed different, heavier somehow, infused with a sense of wealth, control, and danger. I paused for a fraction of a second, gripping the handle of my suitcase, trying to steady my racing heart. I had faced threats, danger, even death before—but this… this was different. This was the world for the rich .And I was about to step into it. My eyes traveled over the vast estate as I inhaled deeply, trying to absorb the enormity of the place. The sprawling gardens, perfectly manicured, stretched endlessly before the massive mansion. Every detail—every column, every window, every polished surface—screamed precision and power. It was beautiful, yes, but it also radiated an unwelcoming coldness, a silent warning that anyone stepping inside was entering a

  • A Bodyguard For The Misogynist    Six Years Ago And Still Haunting Me

Ah, I screamed out in ecstasy as another wave of pleasure surged through me, laid on a table right in the hotel room. Zayne Harrison, the famous CEO but a misogynist—a man whose cold hatred for women was so legendary that people whispered he was probably gay. But tonight… Tonight was different, because the same man who never looked twice at a woman was standing in the most famous hotel, ordering the most desirable stripper in the entire city. And now I was here, frozen, speechless, staring at his damn hot body like it was carved out of sin itself. Zayne had my hands pinned up against my head as he continuously slammed into my pussy. They liked it rough and wild. Who was I to complain? He had my legs tangled around his waist as I threw my head back in ecstasy, my eyes rolling straight to the back of my head as I felt my fourth wave of orgasm for the night. “Sir… sir… please…” My voice came out pleading. I wanted to rest. I wasn’t used to this long-hour rough sex. He pulled o
