Freya's pov

Two days.

It had been two full days since they dragged me down here—two days of silence, darkness, and cold. The dungeon walls wept moisture, the air was thick with mildew and despair, and the only sounds were the distant howls of wolves far above.

I hadn’t eaten. I hadn’t slept properly either. I just sat there—numb, confused, and hurting in places no healing spell could ever reach.

But nothing prepared me for what I saw now.

Footsteps echoed from the far end of the corridor, boots heavy and slow. My heart pounded with dread. I had hoped maybe it was Samantha… but when I looked up—

It was him.

Alpha Logan.

My breath hitched, and for a second, I didn’t know whether to rush toward the bars or curl away into the corner. I chose the first. I scrambled to my feet, ignoring the dizziness that came with moving too fast on an empty stomach.

“Alpha Logan!” I gasped. “Alpha Logan, please—please believe me. I didn’t do it! I didn’t cast any spell—she set me up! Lucia, she—she frame

  • A Breeder For The Alpha King.   Chapter 24

Chapter 24It had been a month since Rita died, but her presence still lingered in every hallway of the palace. Her laugh, her warmth, the soft hums she used to sing when she rubbed her belly—they haunted me like echoes that never faded. Some days, I swore I could still hear her voice. Other days, it felt like she had only just left the room.I visited the twins almost every day, holding them as if they were mine. They were perfect—two delicate girls with soft brown hair and tiny hands that clung to my fingers like they knew me. I cradled them, rocked them, whispered things into their ears I wished their mother could say.Xavier… he hadn’t been the same since. He wandered the halls like a ghost, sunken eyes and quiet steps. Grief made him a shell, and I felt helpless watching him drown in it. Samantha and I tried to keep the babies cared for, but after some time, they were handed over to the older women in the pack—nurturing hands with years of experience. Still, I visited them like c

  • A Breeder For The Alpha King.   Chapter 23

Author's POVLogan stood by the large map of the territory in his war chamber, the tips of his fingers pressed into the wooden table. The torches flickered with the restless wind, casting long, dancing shadows across his face. He had already sent guards to every corner of the palace, doubled patrol at the borders, and even dispatched warriors beyond the woods.Yet still… nothing.Lucia was gone. As if she vanished into the shadows themselves.“She couldn't have disappeared into thin air,” Logan growled, voice low and sharp like a blade. “She’s injured. Weak. She shouldn’t have gotten far.”A guard stepped forward, nervous. “Alpha, we’ve searched the southern forests and the riverbanks. No trace. No scent.”Logan’s hand slammed onto the table, making the others flinch. “Then search again. Search the rivers, the underground cells, the old temples. She could be hiding with rogues.”Just as the guard bowed and left, Logan returned to his chamber to grab a scroll of old escape routes. But

  • A Breeder For The Alpha King.   Chapter 22

Author's POVLogan stood by the arched window of the east wing, watching the soft movement of the trees swaying beneath the silvery moon. It was quiet — unnervingly quiet — the kind of silence that screamed beneath the surface. He clenched his jaw, the memory of Freya's last words haunting him like a curse.“I’m done,” she had said. Those two words, cold and final, struck deeper than any blade ever could. He had tried — in his own Alpha way — to reach her. He had approached her in the training grounds, when her forehead glistened with sweat and her movements were sharp like daggers. She looked powerful. Unyielding. She didn’t tremble when he neared. She didn’t even flinch."Freya," he’d said gently. A softness most never heard from him.She barely looked at him. "Alpha Logan."The title stung."I’m glad you’re alright after that attack," he continued, hoping for a sliver of warmth. “The healer confirmed it again. You’re rare-born… a hybrid. That’s not something I take lightly.”She ga

  • A Breeder For The Alpha King.   Chapter 21

Freya POV Samantha sat cross-legged at the foot of the bed, drying her hair with a towel after helping me settle in. I still felt a little sore, but the bath she prepared worked wonders. The scent of lavender and mint clung to my skin, and the warmth of her room wrapped around me like a hug.“So…” I asked, tilting my head as I tucked into the last of my stew. “Earlier, I meant to ask—how old are you really?”She smirked. “Guess.”I narrowed my eyes at her playfully. “Okay. Hmm. Nineteen?”“Nope.” She popped the "p" and grinned.“Twenty-two?”She shook her head with a dramatic sigh.“Twenty-four, final guess,” I said, certain I had it right this time.“Wrong again!” she sang, bursting into giggles.I gave her a faux annoyed look and tossed a pillow at her, which she dodged easily. “Alright, fine. Tell me before I assume you’re secretly a centuries-old vampire.”She leaned in, eyes glinting with mischief. “I’m twenty.”My mouth fell open. “No way.”“Way,” she said proudly, flipping her

  • A Breeder For The Alpha King.   Chapter 20

Author's POV Freya finally felt a flicker of hope in the cold dungeon, the darkness momentarily pushed away by the appearance of Irene—her wolf, her strength. She had waited so long to feel whole, to understand who she was. And now, even in chains, she felt… less alone.“I’ll be back soon,” Irene had said, her luminous form slipping out through the iron bars with supernatural ease. “There are things I must do.”Freya didn’t know what that meant, but she nodded, trusting the wolf completely. After all, Irene was part of her—something no one else could steal or frame.Outside the dungeon, the halls of the Alpha’s quarters were quiet, though tension hung in the air like a storm cloud waiting to crack open.Irene moved swiftly through shadows, invisible to anyone but the spiritually attuned. She found Logan in his private chamber with Lucia.Logan’s expression was clouded with doubt as he faced the woman who once held his heart.“Lucia,” he said, voice low. “Tell me the truth… Did you do
