Alpha Ellison.

As soon as the full moon slashed its way out from behind the clouds, casting that damned pale glow across the palace grounds, I felt it deep in my bones, we were too late.

Lucy.

A cold, sick twist curled in my stomach. I didn’t wait for the council to finish yelling behind me. I stormed out of the war room, ignoring every protest, and hurled myself into the driver’s seat of the closest armored vehicle. The tires shrieked against the cobbled road as I slammed the accelerator, tearing down the mountain without a second thought.

The prison should’ve taken an hour to reach. I made it in thirty minutes.

When I arrived at the outer wall, the situation was worse than any of my fears. Harsh white spotlights sliced through the thick dark air, and soldiers covered the entire compound at least fifty of them, all decked in riot gear, weapons raised, barking commands into crackling radios.

They weren’t posted there to keep the inmates secure.

They were making sure no one escaped.

  • A Breeder For The Ruthless Alpha king    Chapter 169

AuroraThe smile on her lips vanished as swiftly as morning dew under sunlight, and I should’ve seen the warning in that. But I didn’t. I couldn’t. Not until I heard it.A faint rustling.Soft at first. Then again louder this time. That unmistakable sound that sets off alarms in your gut before your brain can even catch up.Something moved. From behind her, out of the woods, from within the darkness, shapes began to form.Men.Five, maybe six. Dressed entirely in black. Each step deliberate. Figures born of shadow, suddenly real.I stepped back instinctively, my veins threading with fear and confusion. “What is this?”calantha didn’t budge. Didn’t blink. Her expression was cold, satisfied like this was exactly what she’d been waiting for, the final piece that made her whole.“Mother?” My voice rose, my heart pounding. “What’s going on?”Still, she said nothing. The men kept advancing. Then one of them turned his head toward the front of the house. Toward my door. The one that stood be

Aurora. There are no adequate words for the anguish of combing through a city of unfamiliar faces, desperate to find someone you love, surrounded by people who couldn’t care less.I was running out of medical centers. There was no sign of Kaidan. Each day without a word chipped away at my sanity, a fresh knot in my gut, another invisible weight crushing my chest. He had saved me. He’d sacrificed himself for me. And here I was, trudging through clinic after clinic, hallway after hallway, surrounded by impassive nurses and lifeless fluorescent lights. The final name on my list turned up empty, just a tired smile from the receptionist and a slow shake of the head. No Kaidan. No information. Nothing at all.The sky had already taken on a soft, reddish hue by the time I made my way back home. The wind cut against my face, and I clutched my coat tighter around my body. I felt hollowed out, like someone had wrung out my soul and left behind an empty shell. But the moment I stepped over the t

IvyI never imagined a day like this would come.A day when those who stood in my path would finally fall, one by one, crashing into oblivion. The scent of Brandy always reminded me of triumph. Bold. Silky. A burn that lit the throat in all the right ways. I swirled the golden-brown liquid in its cut-glass tumbler, admiring how it caught the sunbeams pouring through my chamber windows. The message had just arrived there’d been a fire at the prison. But not just a simple blaze… it had been utterly reduced to ash.I took a slow, luxurious sip, letting the warmth slide down my throat like liquid satisfaction.“Lucy,” I murmured, savoring her name like smoke on my tongue. “At last, your time has come.”The melody spilling from my speakers filled the chamber, drowning out every intrusive thought that wasn’t steeped in victory. Barefoot on the polished marble, I let the music take me. My silk robe swished softly with every movement, skimming the tiles as I let my body sway. I lifted my arms

Lucy.Blood oozed from my fingertips as I gazed at the fallen forms of Riven and her girls, lifeless, lying in pools of blood. The air around me had become unnervingly still, as if the entire world was holding its breath, waiting to see what would come next.Thorne faced me, a cold smile tugging at his lips, his sword dripping with the blood of those who once stood by my side.I didn’t hesitate. I didn’t even breathe.I acted.A fierce growl erupted from deep inside me as I hurled myself toward him as a wild, furious force unleashed. My body contorted midair; bones cracked and shifted, thick fur bursting through my skin. The wolf emerged.I slammed into Thorne’s men first. Two charged to block my path. The first was a hulking wolf with smoky gray fur and piercing gold eyes.quicker than he appeared. He lunged at my throat, claws extended, but I ducked beneath his attack and rammed my shoulder into his ribs. He yelped as we hit the ground, but before he could regain his footing, I clamp

LucyI didn’t have a choice. The air around us felt like it was ready to explode, almost trembling, like even the atmosphere knew what was about to happen. My legs were about to buckle under Riven’s weight, and the hallway ahead of us was packed with screaming, terrified people. The light from the moon even found its way through the cracked walls, following us like a silent judge, touching our skin as if trying to decide who deserved mercy. My heart raced in my chest. The crowd wasn’t moving quickly enough. Neither were we.I shut my eyes. And let the change take over.It surged through me like wildfire. My bones shifted, stretched, and bent in ways they weren’t supposed to. I gasped, it was the last breath I’d take as a human, for now. It hurt. My muscles burned like they were on fire. My chest felt like it had been torn wide open. Then suddenly, everything changed colors, smells, even fear itself became something new.The wolf was me.For the first time ever, I fully became her.
