CHAPTER 16— A PROMISE IS A PROMISE

Zheme told her to bathe, without a word she did.

He gave her clothes, without resistance she put them on.

He told her to sit, like an obedient dog she did.

He told her to come, and of course she did.

He didn't know what was happening and at first, he thought it was a miracle sent down to him by god, but now, he missed his daring Lexie.

The one with a big mouth that only sealed close when she was caged in fear, the one who'd glare daggers at him instead of doing what he asked, but as his father said, obedient was how a woman should be.

And Lexie is a woman, isn't she?

Sighing, he took a seat on his bed, he had just rewrapped his wound after taking his evening shower and was now waiting for Lexie to finish hers. As promised, she'd receive her reward, anything she asked for would be hers.
