“Ghost? That’s a human,” the police officer replied.

Winona did not believe that. She was terrified to the core to see Suzy walking toward her. A hysterical shriek escaped her lips as she struggled free of the police officers’ grip and ran in the opposite direction.

Immediately, the police officers chased after the woman who had lost her head. She kept screaming about seeing ghosts and finally, a misplaced step sent her rolling down the stairs.

Suzy was taken aback. Although she hated Winona, the woman was her mother after all. Her kind-hearted nature was worried that the latter might be badly injured, so she hurried forward too.

Winona was lying in a pool of blood. Suzy felt terrible at the sight in front of her eyes and instinctively extended her hand to help the woman up. The latter was rushed to the emergency room. Her leg was broken and she was required to be hospitalized again for further treatment.
