A New Friend

Arm in arm, they stepped onto the dancefloor. The band began the first strains of a song from Urbanmen and they moved easily, naturally into the music. Frankie was a skilled dancer, agile and confident in his lead.

"What brings you to Yardstin?" Frankie asked.

"I got temporary employment." She replied truthfully.

He raised his brow, throwing a glance at her lovely face. "If you don't mind me asking, what kind of job is that?"

"Let's talk about you." She replied with a smile, ignoring his question. "What are you doing in Yardstin?" She said,

"Such a smart young lady." Frankie chuckled. "Well, I work here. I'm a businessman. I work with Tedson and co." He said taking a few steps back to allow her some room to twirl.

"The furniture company?" She asked, recalling the famous Tedson and Co. furniture company from television jingles and social media ads. Who doesn't know Tedson?

"Yes, the furniture company." He replied. "Now your turn," He lowered his head bringing their faces in close proxi
